lets put it this way...
i post on a couple of other messageboards and certain threads that i started and posts that i made were DELETED..that however has never happened to me or anyone one here that has posted in a similar nature on TA.
there is enough of freedom of speech here so i find nothing wrong with that portion...the mods exercise our right of speecha nd jsut make sure we dont go overboard..
in conclusion, itikia is doing a great job indeed.
there isnt really supposed to be a mod for TOTA..we never had ANY moderation back in the day. But now thanks to people like u we DO now.
Itikia isnt being paid for this and doesnt hold some big post in guvernment that u people have to bitch so much and literally try to "overthrow" him.
i say this thread be closed and all of u complaining better shut ur yaps |

I'm starting to get sick of u and ur childish actions towards the mods and the general population of TA.
I AM NOT STANDING UP FOR ITIKIA OR SWAMPER... i am simply standing up for what i see is right in my own interpetation of the situation i've seen. IF you have beef with the mod, deal with it in private. otherwise i would ask u kindly to off. Thank God Itikia is a very reasonable person. If i was him, i would have dealt with u ages ago. for the last time: grow the up.

I stand beside the bump/spam and you get locked/deleted/edited whatever
but that specific case w/ Hartec and Itikia, I have to side w/ Hartec. Other times I side w/ Itikia.
I think he handles generalness of the Forum well, and I can appreciate the position he is in with promoters, but meh...I cant be bothered to finish this argument |

Ignorant? never.
Why don't you think about it before choosing a side. Did you ever wonder why producer's threads get closed if they bump their thread. Sure its in some text agreement somewhere, but does it really matter. Whenever I see a producer's thread get closed I wonder, "wow, there goes another party down the drain". All through these years I've seen parties go down the drain just because their advertising was poor, and money hungry forums didn't let them post ads unless they dished out tha mula. I'm not saying this is sole reason that caused the scene to fall, but it is very hard for the promoters, even if they make money, its so little, they have to save it for the next, etc.
I just think that some decisions are poor. I agree to the other offensive bans, like racism, or whatever. But not the ones that just "break the rules" but not really affect anything. |

you may not necessarily agree with the policies of this board, but bear in mind that we don't own the site, nor do we pay for its maintenance. If you don't agree with the way that it's run then there's only 2 things you can do: accept it, or stop visiting the site.
Users will ultimately show how they feel about the moderating by their actions.

Why should I sit here and conform when I can cause a positive change. I know I have no control of what goes on, but I'm sure I can cause a positive change. I know this board is not that fascist, there is some appriciation of opinion. |

If there was an interest in the party then promoters wouldn't have to bumb. Them having to bumb the threads means that there is no interest and that they should try somewhere else.
I mean System parties don't get sticky and they stay on top of the pile. |

I'm not saying you should conform, but if you continue to visit this site then you indirectly are supporting it and its actions whether they be for better or worse.
I don't necessarily agree with all the policies of this site either, but I understand that my opinions are directly proportional to my cash contribution to its upkeep. I have confidence however that the value of its members will be reflected by its ability to adapt to changes.

I also agree with this statement. I believe that event thread topics will naturally stay afloat given genuine interest by the site's members. If promoters truly wish to involve Tranceaddict in their events then they will make a visible contribution to get to know its members and engage themselves in the community rather than to use the site as a channel merely as a means for advertising.
Please be aware however, that this does not apply to all promoters and does not suggest that all promoters are treated equal. Then again, this site is not necessarily a democracy either, but rather someone's own private enterprise to which we are apart.
