There is also a large contingent of New York Tranceaddict's (NYTA's) planning an extensive trip to Ibiza next summer as well and have detailed their planning on TA. Many of them have even expressed interest in meeting us there if we share the same interest and happen to be in the area. Some of the villas they have picked out are completely awesome. Details can be found here:

There are particularly 2 reasons why the summer in Europe of 2004 will be special. Those are:
1. The 2004 Euro Cup (Football Championships) to be held during the month of June in Lisbon, Portugal.
2. The 2004 Olympic Summer Games to be held in late August / early September in Athens, Greece.
If you're considering going to Europe next summer but aren't sure whether or not you should, then perhaps you may want to consider a few things.
1. Do you have the money to travel? (approx. $4000-5000 CDN)
2. Will you be in school all summer?
3. Will you be working full time over the summer?
If you've answered YES to the first question, and NO to the last 2, then you might want to read on.
So who exactly should go to Europe next summer? Ideally you might fall into one of these categories:
1. Those who have just graduated from highschool.
2. Those who have just graduated from college / university.
3. Someone who has never been and would finally like to take the initiative to go with people they know & with people who have had experience doing it.
An open discussion will be taking place (before most of us head back to school) this Friday, December 26th, 2003 at the Friar & Firkin Pub (details will be posted below) for anyone planning, interested, or just looking to get more information about travelling in Europe over the summer. Many of the aforementioned names will be in attendance and everyone is welcome to attend whether or not they are sure about travelling in Europe next summer or just thinking about it sometime in the future. Those who have also done travelling before are also welcome to attend to lend their knowledge and experiences about their trip. You might be wondering why such a discussion is being planned so early prior to the summer. The reasons are really quite simple, and that is mainly because airfares are always cheaper when you book them early, and planning for such a large-scale undertaking will require a lot of time and research. Some of us here on TOTA felt that it might be fun and a great idea to have a handful of us meetup overseas and possibly tour some cities together (not to mention some parties & trance festivals as well.) ;)
The purpose of meeting would allow us to help gather more information about where and when everyone will be in Europe in order to plan out other logistical measures which would allow us to meet and quite possibly even backpack together for a short while (or longer). Travelling in Europe and possibly catching some major music festivals with your friends is an experience that everyone should have the opporunity to enjoy atleast once in their lifetime. It is difficult to put a price-tag on leisure, especially for experiences, memories, and something that you may only ever have the opportunity to do once in your life. If you've contemplated going before but never found the encouragement or drive too - this could be your year. Remember, as each year passes so does another chance, and we all know that we're not getting any younger. "I'll do it next year" may never indeed, ever come.
Anyways, if you can't go for financial or any other personal reasons, all hope isn't lost. Some of us will most likely be planning a return trip in the summer of 2006. Given the fact that the World Cup Championships will be in Berlin, Germany - about 1 week apart from the Love Parade. So that should be plenty of time for you to plan and save up. ;)
