This post makes me really wonder if you know ANYTHING about Tiesto ??? Tiesto had a bad time something arround summer 2002 thatīs true but most of the times I heard Tiesto he was just awesome.. Are you talking about the same Tiesto who did the Magik Series/ISOS/In My Memory/Trance Energy 99-00 (many ppl still say itīs their fav set all time) Set and who sent shivers to 25,000 people at Arnhem ?? Seriously get a clue before posting..

Back on topic:

PvD is anywhere from 24-40K USD

think most A list deejays make between 24-60K for a 3 hr set. Depends on the dj, the venue, the promoter, the time of year, the flight, the hotel, the costs.

Most A list deejays make enough money to keep their lifestyle going. Paul Oakenfold is a multi millionaire, same with Fat Boy Slim, same with others.

for a typical two hour set:

tiesto - 25 000 usd
paul van dyk - 30 000 usd

marco v - 3500 usd
johan gielen - 2500 usd

that's just on a regular night, they charge less on weekdays then weekends and for nye dj's can charge as much as 3-5 times what they usually do.

I was told Oakey was paid $150,000 to play in LA just this past NYE. Of course, no way of confirming it but the source is somewhat reliable.

In his prime, Oakey was $50,000 to book - not sure if that included 2 hours or 4 hours. I think two.

And yeah, PvD costs more than Tiesto....they actually have to raise the prices higher than normal when PvD plays here (usually $35 at the door), but never for Tiesto ($20 at the door).

When I saw PvD down in LA back in October, I got a friend a ticket at the door (although they were technically sold out) after a little talking she was able to buy a ticket for her for $45. And this was a Thursday night.

*Cheers* I fully agree, no wonder the majority of them have God complexes when they get paid such big bikkies for actually not doing a hell of alot... ;)

Yah that's total utter crap. Perhaps preface a post that you suspect to be BS with "this comes from a very unreliable source"

EVERY time ive seen tiesto lately you can spot his mixing is well dodgy theres times for example at cream last yaer when there was some heavy double beats sh*t going on and he just quickly switched the crosfader over...completly unprofessional and definitley not the sort of performance that woudl make me think he was worth $250,000...but lets be honest...no dj is worth that amount for a single set. even the likes of diggers and sasha, never mind tiesto. anyway i dont want this to go into a tiesto debate, because its old and played out, it comes down to personal taste i spose.
