well i can show you... do the following:
1. stick out your right arm...
2. look at it
3. turn it over
4. look at it
5. repeat step's 2 to 4 for 15seconds
6. what do you notice? :toothless |

i agree these over priced priced djs r the reason why alot of clubs r shutting down there bleeding the buisness dry plus tiesto isnt even that good and PVD was nothing special the past year
we should be supporting these other less known djs who r playing for the love of the music and not for the money |

Ok, let's take Innercity or Sensation for example:
let's say there's about 40 000 ppl. about 3000 in VIP. Regular ticket is about 30-40 €, and for VIP about 70 €. I think that's awful lot of money. Let's now see how many DJ's are there to play during that show.... Let's take Sensation White 2003 for example: DJ Marnix, Gaylen, AvB, Marco V & Ferry Corsten! 5 DJ's!!!!
5 DJ's for that lot of money (ok, some is spent on renting the Arena and stuff like that, but on the other hand, ppl buy drinks all the time in there so that's at least the half of money made on just selling tickets!)
So, i ask u now, where does the rest of the money go???? |

the money goes in the organisers pockets thats why they do events |

wasnt being smart just saying that they get most of the money and clubs should refuse to pay that sort of money to djs its a disgrace thats why clubs r shutting down if they were doing it for the love of djing they would accept less money but they dont they in it for as much as they can get |

there's nothing wrong with being motivated to DJ because of money....u gotta be able to afford the hobby in the first place...and to WANT to be able to afford the hobby, u have to be in to the music...it goes hand in hand.
back on topic...it varies, but i've been told that an average rate for big DJs like Oakey, Tiesto etc...on a regular friday/saturday night at a major club can run as much as 50 g's a gig. the club owners barely make a profit...they probably don't break even...they try though. $10 for a splash of vodka and redbull is bull.
and let's not forget all the dough they make from productions, etc...this is just from gigs we're talking about. it's good to be tiesto:) |

i heard it on RICK DEE's, and he said it himself, about how much Oakenfold makes. This is his exact words
"The highest paid DJ in the world, Paul Oakenfold, makes a cool $100,000 USD per set....thats a pretty good figure for someone who doesnt open his mouth the entire time"
and no im not making this up...this is what I heard. So either its true, or a person like Rick dee has a faulty sourceh hehee |
