how are you certain that the decks are the problem? like jaykue said, rarely do i beatmatch it PERFECTLY and i always find myself "riding the pitch" to correct the variance... it may as well be the decks but it may as well not be...  |

I've used stantons 4 6 months and techs 4 the other 6.......I'd have to say it's a bit of both (IMO).
Stantons REALLY have to be on to stay on, otherwise they wobble about. Technics once you hit the "spot" (beat matched), they just tend to stay in, Stantons slip out really weirdly, unless it's 100% on, where as technics stay on if it's 99.5% on.
Technics make it easier to beat match IMO :)

ok and now i shall pose my question to you mr. way... how are you certain that its the turntables that causing the beat to wonder? i hope that i shall wake up to find all will be revealed to... uh oh it's 2:22.

Ahhh....Ok, I'll try explain it better.
On Stantons
2 tracks both 140 BPM 0% pitch, will stay on as good as a technics...no wobbling @ all
2 tracks both 140 BPM 1% pitch, will stay on as good as a technics...no wobbling @ all
2 tracks both 140 BPM 1 @ +1.0% pitch and 1 @ +1.1% pitch will stay on for a little bit, the go off (like on on on on BANGOFF on on on on on on on on on on on on on BANGOFF)
On Technics
2 tracks both 140 BPM 1 @ +1.0% pitch and 1 @ +1.1% pitch will stay on for a little bit, then slowly go off(like on on little bit off, bit further off, bit further etc). It's more gradual.
So It's not really the deck's fault they just have to be further on...get what I mean??????
(I've had GOOD DJ's use the stantons and not even be able to beat match)

Technics are such a breeze to mix on, they flow like butter... well they flow if you can keep the BPM intact but the problem is that even if you the BPM 100% on the Stanton (not all Stantons) then it will most likely just change somewhere in the mix. You just gotta know what the Stanton is going to do because it's really stressful
Now i think i want to take back my comment about Stanton being bad, i went to the Dj Warehouse today and they had the new Stanton Digital Turntables... now yes they are turntables not CDJs. They let me use it and damn i have to say it's the best turntables i've used in such a long time. The torque power is so strong that the vinyl will start faster than you can watch the vinyl move and the funny thing is that the Turntable itelf has more features than some mixers haha!.
I forgot the whole name of it but it was going at a special of 800 dollars today, it was originally 1300 dollars. But from what i used today, it's well worth the money but then again it's only been out for less than 6 months BUT the good thing is that it has a 15 year warranty!!
Maybe clubs will soon be changing to Stanton Digital |

well.. i went to a 21st .. and this girl i really liek gave me the silent trreatmnwt... as you call prib tell im drunk..
but what gets me is that .. i treat this person like a queen .. and yrt i get dirt kicked in my face

either way .. there;s NO such thign as " cant " "wont" "dont" or alike..
im not at the stage that i say i love her ... ive know her for 2 yrs now) but only as friends..
i do like her .. yet she dose have issues ( as we all do !!!!)
none the less.... i care for for her as i do all human beingsn.... i duun .. i cant help it... if i see someone in need ... i just jave to help..i feel so bad if i dnt.... (lol.. i know a con then i see one... im NOT cluelss) ...
all i want to do is treat this person like a queen ...
and i shall be happy... $ is NOT a prob (LMAO) ... i just to treat this perosn like a queen .. but i DONT wxpwct nothing in return... anyways ... ma amacolcol is werang ooff...
