I've been back at uni for a week now... I've had to go from sleep at 4am up at 2pm to up at 6am every day. Add to that the Flu which I seem to have contracted and the generally nature of my timetable and words cannot express how much like I feel.
That's all I have to say about that...

I was working on a sig a while back.. but I've kinda lost interest in it. Kinda lacking in ideas for one.. and photoshop skills.
Wanted to make something and then make a t-shirt with the same thing on the back.. I reckon that would be sweet. |

Greetings 2:22 am people.
While it is not 2:22 now...I do know what I was doing at 2:22 am (3.5 hours ago exactly)...I was taking this picture:
If any of you guys have not seen James Holden I highly recommend you cancel any opther plans as soon as you hear he is coming your way. The man is absolutely brilliant.
I am going to go pass out now.

hehe thanks, dunno, just pretty much self taught over the past 7 or so years... :D i spose it all came from macpaint when i was about 6 :D
i was gonna do a course on it at a place here in adelaide but the ones that i want to do are like 2 grand... way too much, maybe in the future if all this engineering packs in.. or maybe combine it with eng, thatd be cool :D |

That's some real talent.. its gotta be useful for something. I can't imagine how one would combine that with eng, but if you could somehow I'd like to see what comes out the other end. But 7 years is a long time, I've only been trying to use photoshop for about 4 months.. I've had it for about a year now.
Suffice to say I've got a long way to go before I can produce anything of the quaility.
*edit* I was just curious also how long it would take you to make something like that? |

yeah, they mostly werent done in photoshop except for post render production stuff, most of it is in bryce (cheap & easy) and some of the recent stuff is done in maya & lightwave. have you done all the cad stuff from uni yet? its pretty much the same idea, you make all the things and the bits and pieces like a virtual scene then you render them to create the image.
umm.. it ranges really, like the sunset one in there took maybe a few hours to make and texture then about four hours to render (10000x3500)and the one that looks like the inside of a cathedral took a few weeks to make (a couple of hours a day) and about nine days straight to render (1600x1200) and im still not happy with it. so, yeah it varies... usually a couple of days or a weekend for each one if thats all im doin and im bored... lol, i prolly should update the site actually havent in a few months...
if you want to give it a go see if you can get a copy of bryce 5 and look at any tutorials on the net for ideas or help... i'm mucking around with animations at the moment i'll upload one to my site :D my latest one. hehe been mucking around with spaceships :D |
