UNI - My post semester 1 rant!

Bah!:whip: I'm sure there are numerous people reading that will be facing their first day back (or in worst cases, their first day EVER!), at an institute I have labeled "The repetitive -o-matic skitz-o--a-holic hole" aka: "University" today or tommorow! :whip:
I'm starting to get flashbacks of those sleepless nights where you stay up drinking coffee until 7am, finishing off those 3000+ word essays that you SWORE you would have finished 3 weeks prior to the submission deadline, but of course, leave it to the very last night, then manage to get a 3 day extension by using a forged medical certificate, and then claim to have had numerous deaths within the family and require adequate grieving time for your loss. I mean, really, you would think a university would get suspicious after I claimed that my mum died for the 3rd time (in the same subject too) :conf: but ohhh nooo.
Another thing that I'm starting to dread are those late nights out followed by an early morning lecture, which you just can't manage to stay awake in, even though you have 2 liters of redbull in your system and 6 hash browns which were conveniently purchased and ate at McDonalds at around 4:30am (hash browns after a late night out = :D)
And my ultimate pet peeve at university are those DJ nights at the pub where mixing primarily consists of some guy impersonating a DJ, standing around with headphones on, TRYING to look like he knows what he's doing, and then cross fading tracks at near random when he decides he’s had enough of one. :nervous:
But on the plus side, 80 percent of all students are female.:D I don't know if that shows the male demographics inability to succeed at an academic level, but it surely increases my chances of scoring, and for that, I am greatly thankful! :D
Anyway, if you want to say something about uni, this is the place to do it :whip::D
-goes and checks out The Official Bored at 2:22am thread- even tho it's 5:00am:stongue: |

who cares about your chances, the question is.. how long have you been there and HAVE you scored? :p
funny assed thread. stop bludging and start doing your damn 3000-word essay! |

I'm with you GelatinPufF!
I go back to uni tomorrow, however it will not deter me from posting on the offically bored at 2.22am thread.
I know how you feel about those those 3000 word essays, and those all nighters will be back in full swing before we know it. Ahh it could be worse I guess (ie working full time) |

here's some lovely numbers for you all;
14: the amount of minutes i stayed for the very first lecture this semester
37: the amount of minutes i stayed for my second lecture of the semester
240: the amount of minutes i would have had to stay for if i was to stay for the whole duration of both scheduled lectures
4: the number of years (including this) i have been at university
0: the chances of me actually getting a job relating to anything remotely what i am currently studying
4.60: the amount i spent (in dollars) on this fish and chips box i got from down the road
100: the chances (in percent) of me using this spiffy numbers format thingy here again on this forum
