Here's my reveiw:
Trip Theory: broke it down.
Johan Gielen: great energy.
Tiesto: was good but too short of a set. He played:
#6 from his Breda DVD release party
Tiesto feat. BT- Love Comes Again
Traffic (Montana re-edit)
Marco V.-Loops and things relooped
Adagio for strings(tiesto)
Mike Robbins- Are you a Freak?
Lethal Industry
and closed it out with Silence (tiesto)<~~ women started taking there tops off at this point...lol...j/k
P. Diddy: should stay in Hip- Hop cus his "dance" tracks really suck! It sounded more like electro clash to me. Horrible.
Jackal and Hyde: Insane Electro Breaks... 100% BASS
Ferry Corsten: was bad ass.
Right of Way
Punk
Rock you body rock
Green Atlas- Circulation
F Massif- Somebody (ferry costen)
Rabbit in the Moon are some crazy mo fo's!
Awesome performance!
Ultra 6: Timeslots were behind schedule so that made it harder to find the DJ's or acts I wanted to hear. $5 for water sucked. Ultra shirts($30) made by Armani Exchange weird . Looks like next year it will be in a bigger venue cus there were too many people (about 50,000). |

Last night was my first ULTRA....it could have been better. I was told last year was better, with the exceptoin of Paul van Dyk's set...I loved it...one thing that was lightly humurous was the fact that Arturo left EARLY, and like 10 to 15 minutes later, Paul threw down Wundervoll...I was screaming, "Arturo's missin' his song!!!"
.....and then Brent called him. :p :toothless |

IT was good. I liked it.
I arrived at Ultra about 4PM, when I entered there I saw Johan Gielen playing on little stage for like 100 people, I thought WTF? I took couple of pictures, danced for like 15minutes and came back to main stage where were my friends.
I was only on the main stage in the center, close to the front.
The guy before JunkieXL, I think Piete Tong, he spun OK but not in my style, anyway I danced.
JunkieXL was awsome, I think he was the best on the main stage. Everyone was going crazy. Tiesto was also good, but during one of his massive track (cant remember the name now) I had to go to buy water becasue I was so dehydrated, and almost I passed out. When I came back I drank some water and after 5minutes I was ready to dance again. At the begining of Tiestos set he did something because during one of his energetic track, the track stopped, and there was silence, after 30sec everything was ok. Later on he messed up one of his transitions, but I didnt care too much. After Tiesto P.Diddy came out to test his track. He was walking at the main stage like a god. he was drinking something, like on one of his Rap concert. I think He was disappointed because, people around were going WTF? anyway I danced to his track, I didnt care. Then oakenfold. In my opinion He spun good, he played southern sun. In my personal opionion he played better then PVD. But during Oakenfold, I was sitting because I was so ed up (not the drugs, but I was tired and because lack of water). Then chemical brothers, for like first 15 minutes I was sitting but then they played some massive tracks, and I was ready to dance. By the time when chem brothers played I was more on the left side, because I joined to my other group of people, because I lost the first one. And PVD, at the begining I was dancing and things like that, but I got tired of his music, He played the same tracks that I have heard over and over again. I just sat for the most of his set. Maybe because I was so tired at the end. I left with my friends at 0:30 I think they were also tired a little bit, of PVD.
In general, did i like it? Yes, but I was a little bit disappointed. Why? I dont know. I think because lack of water on the main stage (you had to go all way back to buy it), and thats why.
According to the sound system. It was awsome, It wasnt too loud but you could feel the bass all over your body, your lungs, stomach etc.
It was wonderful experience.
EDIT: Tiesto threw some records after his set. |

Well I just woke up.
Had a great time even though I came into ultra only looking forward to seeing ferry(Owned) and alot of my friends wanted to see oakenfold too but I knew he just isnt the same DJ from years past.Ultra 4 is still my fave ultra(mainly cause of the Hard Trance acts, which lacked yesterday). In the afternoon I was mainly in the DnB and Breakbeat stages. Also cought Chemical Brothers, first time I'd ever seen them live, they were ok. |

Ok, here's my review..
Entrance was no waiting.
I get in, first thing.. Timeslots are screwed.:whip:
I look for stage Number 7, its not there.. I wanna see Johan Gielen.
Look around for Stage #7, no one knew jack about it, NO ONE!! WTF ULTRA Peeps!! .. then saw Johan @ that stage in the entrance, and then I was happy :D .. Chus & Ceballos were there, but didnt spin.. disappointing..
- Progressive Arena, that was shut off until I dont know what Time.. wanted to See MAx Graham and some others.
- Mainstage, what can I say. I got there for the ending of Pete Tong, Saw Junkie XL, they both RULLEDDD!!!.. TIESTO OOOOWNED!!!! Yes he was Hard, but awesome tunes none the less. Paul Van DYk, well, seen him @ Space early sat. morning, didnt really get me, since I rocked to those tunes hehehe.. great set though, whats with him playing crush so many times though.. I liked PvD's set from Last Years better if you make me compare.
- Ferry Corsten was OK, great tunes in the beginning, then he played his electro style.. hearing Tiesto before hime, just made me wanna chill a bit on the grass hehehehe.
- What was that last tune PvD closed with?!?!.. I was expecting some classix song or something.. I dont know.
Overall, Ultra was good, but me, since assisting Ultra for the last 5 years, I would have to say that Ultra last year was one of the best to date.. so I dont know how first timers took this Ultra..anyways, I had a blast time.;) . UNtil next time. |

mind u i have never heard any dj icey set but i do know the man is the king of breaks
Edgar's set was great. Loved his house set, which chaflas on the board beforehand told us about. Pvd came on around 12:50 and i left at 3:30 cuz of ULtra and stuff....well actually i left when wundebar came on......... i hate that track. LOL
I didnt like Pvd's set much tooooooooo hard for me. I mean why not just keep all ur original tracks in its original form. NOoOOOOOO he had to go and make them all hard and stuff. ugh too hard for me.
I give this nite of WMC
6/10 OMFG's I died
ULTRA
ok u will all be surprised to know I did not see tiesto, oakenfold, chemical brothers (this one hurt ughhhh ) and any other of the main trance djs. since im seeing em all at space i said let me expand my horizonss OMG the crazy i saw LOL

3 Way out West -inn sick ive seen nick warren before at crobar and i knew this would be good. and that lead singer was awesome
4 Tommy Lee- OMFG we were right in front i got like 10 pics. he gave the drum he was banging to the people next to us and they were banging away sooooo awesome. I enjoyed it a lot
5 Infusion -ok omfg i died. not as good as underworld last year but overall at ultra the best music i heard all nite. just plain sick. i loved it i cant wait to see them at nerve sometime this year
6 James Zabiela and the armani fashion show . another picture taker those women weeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrre fineeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee) ok zabiela is the what a master at scratchin holy . djcarlos was right. i def will want to hear more of him
7 sasha and digweed - never seen em both together. sasha put me to sleep omg way to slow. digweed def picked it up i liked his stuff better. what sucked is sasha was the one up there mostly
8 Ferry Corsten -ok set. what can u expect its ULTRA so it was short, he threw down PUnk and rock ur body rock. loved it
9 RABBIT IN THE MOON -WTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
my mouth dropped this had to be the most insane in ive ever seen. music wise it was good to okay but that bunny guy is psychotic. LOL what a show though omg. i was right up front and bunny stage dived onto us he hit carlosf with his shoe LOL
from straigt jackets, to insane costumes like space suits. and the backupp dancers with fire. omg and that gun he shot. and that eye thingy he was praying to. its something i will never forget and will be in my top 5 of sets ive seen this year by years end. if not the number 1. not really cuz of the music but the overall show aspect of it WOW.
this is why i come to ultra. i can see tiesto at a club but rabbit in the moon nope glad i saw em. Wow they are nuts good lord
and their fans are harddddddddddddd coreeeeeeeeee
10 richite hawtin -supposedly the master of techno omg last nite he was off he played minimimalist techno. i guess some of u like it but its not my cup of tea
as i left i could hear pvd's set. once again way too hard. still love PVD though

For Me:
Kleinenberg's set ROCKED :tongue3
then I chilled out to a little of Way Out West ;)
Junkie XL's performance was really good! DIRTY STICK FLOOR!!!!:D
Tiesto set OWNED! ( I found it funny how Buster introduced Tiesto wit the same intro from his Tiesto In Concert of "famous from La to Moscow, from sidney to rio de janeiro hahah) but his set owned anyways!
Paul set was very good to althoug nothing out of this world, but still good :toocool:
Now, the CHEMICAL BORHTERS, completely messed up the night for me... I thought they sucked so bad!!! Im so dissapointed! and the worst part is that I could have used all taht time to see Ferry!:whip: I was so pissec! and finally when they play one of their classics (star guitar) they cut if of after about aminute because they had to end! :whip: But thats ok because PVD was next:D
Ok for PVD, I can't find a way to describe his set.....He had every single person of that 50,000 people crowd with their hand in the air and jumping every second of his set! It was just FULL of energy!:eyespop: :eyespop:
I think that the only thing taht would've made that set ABSOLUTE PERFECTIOn is that at the end, when he stopped and the anouncer was like "you want to hear one more song?" if PVD would've played for an angel I wouldnt be here typing this review hehehe!
Overall, ULTRA KICKED ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!:eyespop: :eyes:
Now I have Armin @ Level and Space on tuesday to look forward to :D :D
ULTRA 7 - 365 days to go:( |

IMO:
Sasha was ing unreal
Diggers was awesome
Tiesto's set was so massive
James Holden was unreal
Oakenfold played old stuff, but there was good vibe
Junkie XL was cool
Sander was good
Pete Tong was better
Way Out West was unreal
Ferry was surprisingly good
Chem Brothers were a headache
PVD was TERRIBLE, sorry- mixing not great, songs worn out to death except for like 2. The crowd had an awesome vibe when he was spinning though.. I definately enjoyed that.
Sasha was the best- he is on top of the electronic music world atm. |

if the crowd was so awesome probably it was because his set was f****cking good. even though the tracks he played we know they are mint all of them especially that remix of crush. the only thing i disagree is about the mixing, mixing was spot on, probably the best mixing technical wise out of all the djs along with sander k.
