I wasn't really paying attention to people behind me ;)
I was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt... Maybe you saw me

Was it Sander or Pete who played the Teen Spirit remix? Some great tracks were played between the two of them but I keep getting times mixed up. Who played the Beastie Boys Fight for the Right remix?

Fight for the Right was Junkie XL if Im not mistaken

if the crowd was so awesome probably it was because his set was f****cking good. even though the tracks he played we know they are mint all of them especially that remix of crush. the only thing i disagree is about the mixing, mixing was spot on, probably the best mixing technical wise out of all the djs along with sander k.

*****IMO******* it sucked. His music just feels empty and
cheap to me now- all those goddamn re-edits... can't he switch things up once and a while? samne ing beat for 90 minutes.... where is the van dyk whose music i fell in love with?
compared to his performance last year at
ultra, this year was pathetic. Listen, I love PVD. I wish he would get his together. As for his mixing, yeah, he didn't mess up or anything, but it was totally uncreative. And as for his
encore, couldn't he come up with something a little bigger?
Tiesto made van dyk look like a ing fool this year. sorry.
adagio, lethal industry, silence? MASSIVE :eyespop:

darkace, i think it might have been junkie xl who played the teen spirit remix... it was him or pete tong- it def wasn't sander.

then I chilled out to a little of Way Out West ;)
Junkie XL's performance was really good! DIRTY STICK FLOOR!!!!:D
Tiesto set OWNED! ( I found it funny how Buster introduced Tiesto wit the same intro from his Tiesto In Concert of "famous from La to Moscow, from sidney to rio de janeiro hahah) but his set owned anyways!
Paul set was very good to althoug nothing out of this world, but still good :toocool:
Now, the CHEMICAL BORHTERS, completely messed up the night for me... I thought they sucked so bad!!! Im so dissapointed! and the worst part is that I could have used all taht time to see Ferry!:whip: I was so pissec! and finally when they play one of their classics (star guitar) they cut if of after about aminute because they had to end! :whip: But thats ok because PVD was next:D
Ok for PVD, I can't find a way to describe his set.....He had every single person of that 50,000 people crowd with their hand in the air and jumping every second of his set! It was just FULL of energy!:eyespop: :eyespop:
I think that the only thing taht would've made that set ABSOLUTE PERFECTIOn is that at the end, when he stopped and the anouncer was like "you want to hear one more song?" if PVD would've played for an angel I wouldnt be here typing this review hehehe!
Overall, ULTRA KICKED ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!:eyespop: :eyes:

Now I have Armin @ Level and Space on tuesday to look forward to :D :D

ULTRA 7 - 365 days to go:(

Out of everyone's posting yours is the most like how I experienced Ultra. Sander, Pete Tong, and Junkie XL all had good sets. Oakenfold was just ok...I saw him a couple of days before and it sounded the same. We left during the Chemical Brothers set (because they were killing my night) and went to see Ferry instead. He was done before PVD went on so it was perfect. We were even able to get our same seats (two rows back from the stage!). Ferry was robbed. He belonged on that other stage right in the middle of all the other trance DJ's. What a disappointment. I loved Tiesto's set because to me he is a bad ass and he brings so much energy. The vibe when he was on was unreal. PVD went the hell off. He and Tiesto owned the night. Their sets confirmed why they are my two favorite DJ's.

for me Tiesto was the man of the night!!

Although I must admit, when the "technical difficulties" occured in the beginning I was having flashbacks of when I saw him @ Gatecrasher in the NEC haha...

but 2 songs made my night:
Barber's Adagio (tiesto remix)!! I closed my eyes and I was back at Tiesto In Concert. I had such goosebumps I thought I was going to jump all the way to the clouds ahahha

and of course
SILENCE!!! I've only seen tiesto 2 times that he spun this track, but this is the track that made me listen ONLY to trance. I listened to trance before but this track made me convert to a pure EDM fan :) So I was in a little Utopia. I closed my eyes and I was back in Europe.... Even if it was only for a few hours ;):whip:

We were right there two rows back during everything and if my memory serves me correctly...when the sound went out on Tiesto it was dead silent and he was not touching the tables. It was as if the sound had been completely turned off. Wires and cords stretched out all across the stage with tons of people walking around taking pictures and of course the emce who had enough energy for all of us equals nothing but trouble. If he had taken the needle off the record (as someone suggested) you would have been able to tell. He looked stunned.

Tiesto's remix of Street Spirit was bad ass live. Blew me away.
TrAnCeAkI
anyone see kai there by any chance? :)
Shamez214
umm, i dont think tracid was there. i just checked the program and he's not listed on any of the stages.

My feelings exactly.

It wasn't nearly as bad as the glitch in the table for PvD's set at ultra5. That was just gut wrenching; I can still hear the scratching sound...
