*disclamer* The following passage is what i understood from the Bible and not an attack towards anyone.
The Romans just carried on the desire's of the Jews. Romans performed the execution and probably 90% of the tortures, sure, but they werent the ones that grabbed Jesus in Gethsemane and took him so he could be judged. Roman's weren't the ones who chose a murderer (Barabbas) over a holy man either, the jews did.
When they say "the jews killed Jesus", it dosen't mean they killed him literally. But in a way, demanded and desired his death. (not the entire jewish population perhaps).
and that's just my opinion. |

| i said that i wasn't going to argue about religion anymore so i won't...i'll just say that its pretty obvious that most people here don't have any idea what they are talking about. no one here seems to have intimate knowledge of the late roman empire which is pretty obvious from the lack of information and the accusations people are throwing around. most people here are arguing with the bible which may not be the wisest track to take. so maybe everyone should just leave this alone and stop talking about they don't know about... |

| im christian i saw the movie .. i dont feel hatred towards the jews .. this happened so long ago ! why would anyone blame the jews for this now thats just stupid... everyone is entiteled to their opinion.I for one am glad mel made this movie! it proves alot to ME being a christian.....If ppl dont like it why do they go see it? you think you're all between a rock and a hard place? try being like me and other people with my situation, a christian arab. try being a jewish arab, and then complain about who's being tly portrayed or whatever.
The fact of the matter is that some Jews believe it's anti-semitic, others don't. Frankly, I don't see those who do changing their minds any time soon. So stop blasting your rhetoric at them and just swallow it up and move along. Is there a Jewish Conspiracy? Maybe. Is Mel Gibson an anti-semite? Maybe. Is the Bible a bunvh of lies and fantasy? Maybe, although I'd like to think not. Just move on, it's not worth it. |
