| Ive never told my parents a thing..nothing...i menan they dont know when i have a girlfriend they dont know where i go at night they know absolutely nothing of my life at all....like zero theyve never even met most of my friends...do any of you find this wierd? because this girl im with thinks its the wierdest thing shes ever heard |

Nah I'm the same... there's too much of a generation gap to talk about anything social, and they're not really empathetic enough to talk about anything emotional, so I just make a bit of small talk and that's about it.
But a lot of girls seem to talk to their parents a lot. I think it's kind of a girl thing, actually. |

ok thought i was a wierdo....cause i started to think and realized my older brother tells them stuff abt his life not alot but more then me...i mean hell they dont know nothing abt me at all and i just realized it...i mean i love them hell i just spent 200 dollars on my mom so she could go out and have a nice night tonight....but like i dont talk to them more then abt work and house work...
thought i was missing out on something...but im not soo its all good |

Same here... My parents don't know much about me, but then again either do some of my friends. |

i like my parents...and they like me.
they know where i am and when ill be back.
in my mind...they're the only people who seem to give a about me.
so yeah, they are on a need to know basis.
plus they freakin' give me all the money i have, so yeah...appreciation and info is the least they could ask for and receive.
anywayz, my mom is da shiznit and my dad, well he's pretty serious but whatevs, it's his way.
so yeah...i think there are a lot of people who like their parents....im one of them.

| i remember i told them i smoked weed....cause i was all baked out of my mind and came home and was like why do i have to hidse it? it seemed like a good idea so i went downstairs went up to my mom and was like mom i wanted to tell u i smoke weed...im stoned right now..i mean im ed...anyways my mom went nuts i laughed and that was that....ahh the years of being a teenager i miss em |

Don't get me wrong or anything, I don't isolate myself from my parents and neither do the other people who are talking about this, I think. It's just that my relationship with them is less "talk" and more "do", and it's kind of always been that way... they support me and I fix around the house and chip in when I can and everything. There's not really any social element to it. I know I can talk to them about things if I want to, but most of the time I'd prefer not.
Strange that none of my other relationships work that way, really... it's the opposite with friends/girls/etc... eh. |

no doubt i like my parents too it has nothing to do with liking ur parents it just has to dow tih the relationship u have with them i guess... |

yeah no worries...i mean my parents dont know that i do drugs or whatever....they know things like what music im into....who my friends are.....girls, they know about the ladies.

but yeah, i also think every one acts and communicates differently with their parents....as long as there's love around, no problem.
I think its healthy for you to know your rents give a rats ass about you. I mean they were the bastards that brought you in the world...right?:thepirate |

i remember my dad was trying to tell me about sex....i was 19 and already in college....lost my virgnity at 15.
So he's all like "son its kind of like a barn......" and used this farm analogy...it was messed up..
and at the end of this twisted analogy i was like "dad....ive already been having sex for a while"
and he's like "oh"
that was that.
My mom is like.......have fun, dont get diseases, use condoms, and pleasure the hell out of them the right way. |

I tell my mom a bunch, thats only cause she has bailed me out of jail twice, and helps a ton with paying for my school.
plus it seems like there is no generation gap whatsoever, she is about as accepting of new ideas as anyone.....eg my brother is in a death metal band....most parents wouild hate to listen ot it, she likes it. |
