| EXCITE all i have to say is...THANK YOU, Tiesto blows oakenfold out of the water just when he yawns. Oakenfold has never been anything special he was just the first one to expose the states to what was really goin on across the pond in europe. I seen Oakenfold and Tiesto and Oakenfold was just like seein any other guy on a saturday night out while Tiesto was like watching someone create something. oh and by the way the two times i have seen oakenfold he has ended with either Tiesto- Urban Train and the current trak that tiesto chooses to close with, cj bolland- the prophet. that is all.. later |

I didn't want to say this.. but now after I read all this stuff people wrote about Oakenfold I must say it.. Tiesto IS trying to be like Oakenfold!.. I like Tiesto very much, but if any of you heard Oakenfold's mixes from 99 you'll see that many tracks from there are now played by Tiesto, like "Olive - You're Not Alone", "The Auranaut - People Want To Be Needed" and "CJ Bolland - The Prophet" (!) which was played by Oakenfold long long time ago!! Oakenfold is actually the first DJ that started playing this tune again.. he closed with this tune on his essential mix in Gatecrasher from 99..and it's also on his '2 Years of Oakenfold Resident at Cream' album.. so give this guy some respect ok?! a lot of tracks that Tiesto now plays are Oakenfold's favourites :) |

B/c Tiesto is playing tracks that Oakenfold played back in the day u conclude that he wants to be him! That's ludricious. Everyone has played "Ur not Alone". Tiesto just wants to be as RICH as Oakenjoke!
Oakie plays what EVERYONE else is playing ie: urban train, star 69 or he just relies on anthems or really OLD tracks that are guaranteed crowd pleasers. Tiesto is definately worth $40. I'd pay $100 to hear an 8 hour legendary Twilo-esque set from PVD. :D
Btw, Oakie demands 23 G's an hour... for that kinda $ he shouldn't be trainwrecking at ALL or playing tunes from 97! |

and twilo, you obviously havent seen oakie recently... for the first hour and a half it was a really good progressive set... not anthems and old tracks |

No. Tiesto is guilty of playing the same tracks over & over. Oakie really beat "ur not alone" to the death!
btw, Oakie played at the World last night. $80 in advance, $60 at the door for a 2 hour set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Around 1:00, Oaken****** steps behind the one and two, and three. The totally ed up, crowd starts jumping and squealing from joy. I look around myself and discover that perhaps I am the only one on the dance floor smoking cigarettes and not rolling.
During Oakencocksuker's entire set I heard only two tracks that I did not recognize from two years ago. The two tracks were Rapture and Hide You. Someone should tell him to visit a record store! As any "good" dj should, he would bring the crowd down after almost every song. So, every 5-8 minutes the overwhelmed-from-joy crowd got some rest from his "slamming" tracks. Before we knew it, Oakenprick was done at 3:00, after two and not promised four hours of an "unbelievable" set.
The surprise of the night was Liquid Todd that followed Oaken. He played a superb set consisting of a great combination of progressive house, techno, tech-house and breakbeat. Look out for that guy in the near future.
I demand a refund for the joke-of-a-dj.
A word of advice: next time Oakenfool comes to your town, save your money and don't go see him. And please tell all your friends to do the same. Be smart and learn from other people's mistakes." |

Well, i havent seen any good djs live, they dont come near my hometown. But the sets i have downloaded from him, specially de last ones, are more techno/psy than prog/uplifiting.
Maybe thats why most of u dont like it. |

$80??? you gotta be in stupid to pay $80 to see only 1 guest dj... and i was pissed about $27 :P
yea yea oakie beats his tracks into the ground... but i never listen to him otherwise, so it was decent |

2. He plays the same songs
3. Plays old songs, anthems or what every other DJ is playing
4. Plays for only 2 hours & tickets are Always more than $40.
