| Prog is a difficult craft. You have to be extremely good to succeed in making the music interesting. Take for example Danny Howells. He will throw down electroclash, breaks, techno, tech house, old school house, some prog trance, even some dnb and so on with the precise timing to get the dancefloor rocking at the right time. This kind of dj makes me dance more than any other and I can keep going and going for hours. Then again, he can get very loungy and proggy and keep it chill like the 24-7 series. There is much flexibility when you're open about edm, you just have to have a good ear and know what to play and when to play it. |
