Question for the arrogant American TA's (pg. 3)

True, im affraid that America only would kill the quality becouse the big corporate record labels would wanna make money out of it.
Ok as you as an American , could you tell me why 50-55% ( or i dont know about the percentage) people in America allways likes what iss popular and dont care for the quality?! |

..well i guess im one of those people who got into it cause i saw my friends going to raves. But i tell you what, im glad i got on the bandwagon, because since the first day i was introdused to it..i liked it...that before i was on E, that just made it sound better aswell as feel (in my opinion), but to this day im still listening, i actualy know more about trance than they do now... & i dont see my self not likeing it in the future. Like i said in another page..im planning on going to europe to one of the events not sure what yet, but i will be there, because I like it, not cause my friends or everyone else is. |

Your just jealous.
Honestly, it's stupid for people to think that they'd want their favorite kind of music to stay underground. The artist themselves, wouldn't want to stay "underground". Every DJ wants to go mainstream, hit the euro charts for american djs.
Alot of my friends don't like trance for the music itself, it's more of a combination of ecstasy and trippying out over trance that caused their liking to trance. |

That's not showing love for trance, why the hell wouldn't you want it becoming popular? I'd love it to just because the local djs here aren't getting much publicity outside america, even though they command an audience the same size that alot of international djs do, I'd love to see them succeed. |
Well time to time i seen some of them saying ," I hope trance stay underground becouse if it goes mainstream then many people would only like it becouse its popular."
And thats the ones who i adressed my question for.
But i guess everyone can tell how they feel about this . |

Gah. IT. Trance is music. Good music. What else matters? It doesn't matter who listens to it, European or American. It doesn't matter who says it's good or bad. It just matters that it's good music, and it's not going anywhere any time soon. Just so long as the good DJs out there continue to produce good tracks, everything's fine.
Come to think of it, threads like this one are really funny. It's always some random European talking about how arrogant Americans are. Ever stop to think about the fact that, in doing this, you are being arrogant? Yeah. Didn't think so. |

First, i think you missed my point, i didnt say every americans are arrogant, i said to some specific type of people, i wasnt saing all of them, can you go back to the first post and see what i wrote? I said i have a question to the ones who saying" i only like trance becouse its underground i dont want trance to go mainstream"

| And the reasion why i would like to have trance to get more exposure becouse i wish our djs would get a litlebvit more respect from the mainstream people and dont look at or categorize our music as mindless, computer generated drug music.I wish people would look at us different and not like we are some drugged out person for listening to a xtc music |
