Tiesto at Guvernment June 10 (pg. 7)

yes there are more expensive world class cities to live in other than toronto but that doesn't make toronto cheap...living on your own, in the heart of the city and hitting the clubs on weekends is not cheap...my response was to question your claim that we're spoiled because we have the guv and other clubs and big name dj's...i was merely saying that those things come with living in a big city but you do pay for it....if i had a free ride in this town and all the headliners rolled in and played for free i'd feel spoiled, but i don't and they don't...

People....don't jump the gun here. Just because Tiesto's site lists Guvernment as the location doesn't mean it won't be in the Kool Haus. As said before, Guvernment does the booking which is why they would put it on the site - they won't get technical as to the exact room on the site.

Wait for the official announcement from Guvernment before jumping to any conclusions. Tiesto's asking price would certainly warrant them using nothing less than Kool Haus to recover some of that $$$.

I have heard that the event will be in the main room, but come on' whats the problem???? If you love the music and have a passion for the party you should be able to have a great time regardless of the crowd...... If you let the crowd ruin your night well then thats your loss. I will be there and I will have an awsome night:stongue:

The last time I saw Tiesto live was the Koolhaus...If he's there again I will most likely go BUT if he's in the Guv then I will have to think long & hard ( THATS gonna hurt :eyespop: ...) about it.After the Ferry Corsten @ the Guv fiasco a few months ago, I am very timid at goin to an event that may be rammed again like that party was.I was at Ferry's party for only 2 hours before I had to leave because I literally couldn't breathe.I was off work for a week & half from catching bronchitus & a head cold from that night :sadgreen: .

Now some people say that ther are some whinners here BUT it comes down to SAFETY...when its THAT packed then its a matter of time before someone DIES boys & girls from the overcrowding.I was at Bal en Blanc in Montreal and that party was SO well done that I wished Toronto Council can see how SAFER a huge venue is compared to a small one.

NOw I know (from a reliable source) that the owner of the Guv (Charles) doesn't give a rats ass about you & me...its all about the $$$$$$.

I really hope that the party is in the Koolhaus as I miss Tiesto and hope Charles puts him there instead of the Guv sardine can.

As excited as I would be to see Tiesto for the first time since October 2001, I have to say the news about Richie excites me more! Last time at System he totally blew me aways.....extremely talented guy...

Gee, I thought it was $$ and the white.

But I am not serious in any way, just characterizing him as a 'typical' club owner.

Why Thursday?
Why Guvernment? I hope they will raise ticket prices so it will be room to breathe!!! Kool House is a much better venue.
Why Thursday!?!?!?!
It's not a holiday....

because with his schedule he plays almost every night of the week somewhere...so not all the gigs can be weekends....

i actually prefer it on a thursday than say a saturday at guv....keeps the "non fans" away....

Im not "paid to defend the guv"

Ive just seen a lot in this world and travelled extensively
and i appreciate what Toronto has in many respects including the clubs we have.

Im just sick of reading ignorant comments.

Most of you people need to take a trip and see what the world is really like so u can appreciate the good and the bad about where u live. Trust me when i say that your perception of good and bad will change drastically and maybe u will start to understand where i am coming from.

(and when i say travel i dont mean package trips to mexico)

Yes i agree, if its on a weekday compared to a weekend it keeps a huge working commercial crowd away.:D
