p.s your vote means nothing, what will one vote do?
I am under 30, and I love politics. I'm half assed educated on the process (having my poli sci degree), and I can tell you now, your vote means dick, and that's why I'm not voting.
:eek:
let the riots ensue |
High speed bandwidth to Trance webcasts for all!
Trance / Prog Radio stations!!1
International and Canadian up+coming DJs with local residencies all the time!
and 200 channels of 24/7/365 Trance, Prog, Tribal!!!!! :clown:
Taxes?? No worries, the Trance Party of Canada will put Trance in your pants and you'll forget all about it...
On a more serious note, and I think I mentioned this in another thread, voting is very, very important.
It's a responsibility of every Canadian.
So go do it!

heheheh |
*cough*
two problems with your argument:
1) Federal and Provinicial parties are two completely different entities.
2) What a government did 10 years ago is irrelevant, party members change, platforms change, etc, etc.
I am voting NDP regardless |

Federal and Provincial are completely different animals. The Conservatives and NDP are the primary options for everyone this year, it should be interesting to see how they split the vote, and what effect it has on the Fibs. |
Federal NDP < Provincial NDP (as in Manitoba) |

difference between Cons and Lib's
one tells you straight in the eye when they're ing you in the ass... the other tells you there not ing you in the ass while still ing you in the ass.

If this happened, politicians would have to actually listen to what ALL people are saying and people would get more involved and more informed. Right now the only people who get noticed by politicians are special interests and the grannies who are the only people who seem to actually vote. |
SO TRUE. SIG's get a lot of attention NOT because they're big, but because they vote as a block. They're always over-represented. That's why farmers get so much subsidies from the government. MmMm public choice theory. The Guvernment Rulez! note spelling. |

To paraphrase the alien on the Simpsons
"GO AHEAD AND VOTE NDP.... THROW YOUR VOTE AWAY! MWHAHAHAHAHA"
or my own saying...
those who vote NDP should just hand over all their income to them and then have it redistributed in ration coupons since the NDP seems to think they know better than everyone else when it comes to spending money.
Socialism will never work.... |

Liberals are the only evil party.
Avoid at all costs! There are plenty of other choices. |

The majority of the people (that I've come across) who don't vote have a SCARY lack of knowledge/interest in politics... They choose to live in a bubble and couldn't care less who is elected to represent them.
Laziness is a factor in the above - but, I'd rather have people who know the issues voting rather than have them act like sheep because they were coerced into showing up at the polls. Although, since election platforms/promises mean nothing that may be a moot point as well.
People aren't going to be excited about voting when they see no accountability on the part of elected officials to follow the mandate of the election platform that got them there in the first place. |

lol again let me re-iterate(sp?)
liberals = lesser of evils..
i'd prefer not to vote for the conservatives especially since Der Fuhrer Harper is captain of the ship. If we still had PC around, now that would be a possible option to the liberals. And NDP? c'mon now.. Anyone else? Oh yea Rhino party? Green Party? uhh cha wuh?
Anyone left to vote for? doesn't seem so. |
