Nothing like that mistake of a company known as Sega...they wouldn't know how to market a candy product to children correctly.
Quite sad actually, I used to be a huge Sega fan back when Genesis came out.:( |

| Its not really the lack of promoting a new system. Its just Sega isen't very appealing to American players. Its kinda like music games in the US. Music games really kick ass and are really fun but its just not appealing to american players. The Saturn was a pretty good system and it had its handful of games. In japan it was a very good system, it sold well, had nice titles, and the japanese loved it. In america we just trew it away and forgot all about it. |

In my eyes i dont see Sega making it in the Console Wars.
We dont want to see 4 GIANT juggernauts going at it in the Next-Gen Console wars or Do We?:nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous:

| seems to me that nintendo are using the DS to gain more ideas on the market and with new innovative games in order to create something that will kick the psp's arse. the handheld market is different to the console market. as its not about who gets their console out first because people generally only buy one console but will be more willing to buy more than one handheld due to the cheapness of the hardware. so therefore i think that the psp will be popular but then nintendo will reveal their rival to it and kicks its arse to the kurb :D |

This is stupid.
You guys are telling me that Nintendo is releasing the DS and then right after are releasing ANOTHER handheld? Then what the hell is the point in the DS? Why not concentrate all tools and ideas on ONE handheld rather than two!? Nintendo just wants to make more money by attracting dumbass consumers who are willing to buy 2 Nintendo handhelds in a short period of time.
Enough of this "there is no way the PSP will take over, Nintendo has been king for too long" bull, because if we all remember, Sony destroyed Nintendo back in the 90's when it came to the Playstation and N64. Everyone had the same attitude; saying that Sony didnt stand a chance. But now look at the picture. Im not necessarily saying it will happen again, but history does have a way of repeating itself.....
The PSP wont be entirely PS2 ports. They are launching the system with PS2 ports to push the PSP name, and once the PSP starts selling, then Sony and the rest of the third-party companies will start to create original content for the PSP.
I seriously doubt Sega is returning to the console world. If they had EVER said this, it would have been all over every video game website and magazine within minutes.
The battery life for the PSP is TBA, so dont fret just yet...
I heard Nintendo is planning to make some slight changes to the overall DS design. Some gamers complained that it was a little hard to hold at the E3 show, so Nintendo is trying to fix this.... |

Thats what they said in the conference. They said there is another one that will be the asnwer to the GBA SP to gaming and the new system which they say "will revoltionize" the industry. DS is just an upfront demonstration of innovation. It's there for developers to fiddle around to something new. It is not anyway going to replace the GBA SP nor will it compete against the PSP. Lets just say it's there for testing. |
couldnt have said it better my self |

1.) All I gotta say is that all businesses want to attract consumers so they can gain the market share and money. Isn't that what business is all about? Don't tell me Sony has never done that?
2.) The only reason why Sony got lucky on playstation is because Nintendo gave it up. If Nintendo did not give up their idea of the playstation then Sony will be forever be held in the music and multimedia business. Also if your thinking that Sony destroyed nintendo in the 90s your talking off topic since that doesn't have to do anything with "handhelds". If you are so sure that they crushed nintendo why are they still here?
3.) If I were sony I'd rather start making PSP its own games then jsut porting. Who would buy a ported game when you can play it big screen? You pay exactly the same difference of the games. What? your going to own two cuz its l33t. Seriously to think of it, I'd refer that back up to number 1 and say Sony is doing the same thing "Sony just wants to make more money by attracting dumbass consumers who are willing to buy the same games on the ps2 on a PSP handheld in a short period of time."
4.) The battery life for the PSP is 10 hours max. If you want to know the facts for a lithium battery I suggest you read it. Think of it as a laptop on lithium batteries. You ever try leaving your colored cellphone on for the whole time. If you know how that is then you know how long that PSP will last since there is no way a PSP can stand more then 10 hours with a motor drive spinning.
5.) Nintendo will redesign their system if it is necessary. Its the reason why they introduced it to E3 so people can get a feel and then get input so they can finalize the product. E3 is only the tip of what nintendo is showing.. wait till Space World. |
