| see 4 different Americans have attempted to argue hockey with me in the last 15 mins, all of them have got punked off to the Nth degree. I thought I made it clear that Tampa Bay won cuz of Canadians and some russian that showed up (shocked me more than Tampa Bay winning the cup). As I said, I don't worry, cuz I'm a habs fan not a flames fan but World Cup Toronto - Sept 04...the real hockey powerhouse will emerge. To end my rants this evening, I will point out that I have touched the Stanley Cup in person, something that most tampa bay people will never have the chance to do (bar the 23 people on the team) unless you visit the hockey hall of fame (tho nothing really but Canadians in there :wtf:) |

All I know is I am TIRED of all the people that say that my town sucks and the people in my town aren't real fans and that we owe everything to other people. GET OVER IT! You lost...big deal. Were you out there on that ice playing? Do you live in my town and know what kind of people we are? If not then shut up. You assume...oh...look the bandwagon fans. You have no idea how long I have been a fan of hockey. NOT A CLUE. Bottom line...WE WON! This is JUNE 2004 not SEPTEMBER 2004. We have come a long way...regardless of who is on our team. Who the hell are you to steal our (my) thunder? Quit bothering because it won't work! I am too in happy right now!!! First the Bucs won the Super Bowl and then the Bolts won the Stanley Cup. Must suck to have two teams that everyone hated finally become quality organizations. Instead of saying "damn...they have come a long way and good for them" you have to bitch and moan about how we "don't know how to party in the streets"? WHAT??? How in the world would you know? Do you live here? :rolleyes:
It should be obvious that this is directed to a select few and not the rest of you. ;) I have zero against Calgary and anyone that "hates" another team/town needs to get a life.
