im trying to get cut this summer and have tried to limit my carb intake. I run about 6 days of the week and do push ups and sit ups. i really want my abs to start showing but nothing seems to be working. so i was wondering if this low carb is really worth it. i heard from some friends that hyroxycut works. does anyone have experience with this?

well, technically speaking as long as you burn more calories than you consume daily youll be golden. the larger the gap, the more youll see.
hydroxy cut works, but...im not a fan of supplements. Id just eat right, lots of fruits and veggies during the day, and two or three smalls meals mainly consisting of fish or poultry with some veggies and stuff. sandwiches are good too. |

| a friend of mine is doing a no carb diet... just eating beef burgers and bacon and sausages all the time, and for a snakck just eating peanuts, the weights just falling off him... id liek to do the same, but i think its a bit of a pain in the ass having to buy specific foods. im not fat or anything but i have a bit of a beer belly id like to get rid of :( |

hydroxycut gave me a migraine that i had to sleep off cause nothing else would kill the pain. this was about 3 years ago though. i don't take any supplements anymore.
you can limit your carb intake which is okay, but i wouldn't go like atkins style of limiting carbs. go ahead and eat carbs just don't over do it, like eating a couple loaves of bread:toothless, you get the idea.
and like Orbax just eat right, more veggies and fruits, less red meat and junk food. i think you'll fine, oh and excercise of course.
and here's a little animation on the low carb craze http://www.illwillpress.com/fatkins.html |

yea my friend was at 325 and by doing atkins he's lost about 70 pounds. he tells me he'll be down to about 200 by august, which is when our trip to mexico is. i'm not down with atkins though, i'd have a heartattack doing atkins, i wouldn't be surprised if my friend would have heart disease later on. i'm a little jealous, but i know i could lose weight by eating right and excercising more.
i've sorta went on weight watchers too, it uses a points scale for daily intake. what it does is just make you eat more fruits and veggies and less meat and less carbs, but still lets you eat whatever you want(i hope that made sense). and with excercise you gain points that you can use. |

| Dairy products. Yogurts are badass... milk, cheeses, and eggs (unless you are vegan). Peanuts, all types of beans generally have decent protein. |

While some people experience fatigue on low carb diets, I not only experienced an energy booster, I ALSO lost 100 pounds.
A note to you fatties, low-carb means just that, eat fat & protein instead. If you do wish to eat carbs, natural vegetables & fruits are preferred. Take a look at the Atkin's version of the food pyramid. One will also notice that there is NO junk food on the pyramid, this is for a reason. |

What no one seems to know about low carbohydrate diets is that it can mess you up bad if you're not careful. Over time, a lack of carbohydrates can result in kidney/heart problems. Kidney/heart problems are a bad, bad thing.
As far as causing you to lose weight, it works ridiculously well. I'm just sick of seeing commercials, billboards, and restaurant ads about low-carb foods that everyone is selling these days. |

| hm that lowcarb thing is only a trend in america, id be careful with it. many professors that have a far higher education than that attkin guy disagree with him. go low on fatty foods and not on carbohydrates.. |
