a lot of people on this forum are interested in other genre's of music other than trance. i love many different types of music such as rock, punk & new age (engima) but i'm not so close minded to know that other people like other music and don't go saying no one else likes it. that person is ignorant and we are very different from that dip. |

Eh, it's some twat's opinion and I'm not going to be bothered to get wound up about it. So what if he hates electronic music, you'd be suprised how many people in the US share his sentiment. I used to live in Missouri down by Oklahoma and you know how big EDM was there?? It barely existed, the only thing remotely EDM that was kicking around was Sandstorm and some cheesy eurodance stuff. I can tell you first hand that alot of people down there thought the exact same way. At first I got all wound up about them ting on my muscial preference all the time, but there's no point. In the end it's their opinion and no matter how hard you yell and rant and rave they'll still have the same opinion and you'll have wasted part of your life. Besides, I sense this guy probably wrote in to get a rise out of anyone who is an EDM fan so by responding to it you're playing his stupid little game.
*EDIT* - and interestingly enough I currently have the good fortune of residing in Omaha until the end of the month (summer school :whip: ). HOOOORAY!!!!! |

I think this is a great idea. I mean at least then the paper will have two sides to the tale instead of just having to print this garbage. And be more intelligent about it or you'll just come off making EDM look worse.;)

im not talking about the fact that this is just one guy's opinion,
but on the idea that i dont want any more exposure to the edm scene over what its getting by itself.
i would hate seeing stupid s like that in 'my' scene...
and regarding what nik said, yeah, i guess that does make me an elitist, but just not in the way you meant. |
