So I'm sitting in the subway on the morning train heading down to work from Finch as usual, reading an article in my new British GQ as for a moment I lift my eyes as I turn the page and I see HER! The most amazingly beautiful girl I have ever seen no joking! So my heart skipped a beat and I continue reading thinking wtf should I do...Then we get to Bloor and as usual lots of people pile in and she's RIGHT in front of me smiling like 10cm away :nervous: So anyways I totally froze and had to get off on College anyway :(
What should have I done? :( This sucks ass...UGH! |
I just had the same experience.
Man it hurts. :( :( :( :(
The difference in my case is that I see her everyday.
What should I do? |

if u havent made a move by the 3rd time, forget it.
u dont want her to think that u had to think about whether she is decent enough to talk to or not |

Anyone ever see "Indecent Proposal" with Robert Redford and Demi Moore? Near the end of the movie, Redford's character tells the story of how he was shy when he was young and regrets not making a move on the most beautiful girl who smiled at him on the subway train. He tells that there is not a day that he doesn't think about that en passant moment and wished that he had more confidence back then.
Easier said than done, but it's all about having "big balls" in these situations. Carpe Diem baby because how often do we ever get a chance at meeting "the one"? :toothless |

Lucky people aren't lucky, they simply take advantage of opportunity that "unlucky" people don't see because they're not paying attetion, and stick with the same routine.
there are two types of people in this world - people that let things happen, and people that make things happen. |

Well yeah I dunno...in any case I think she was WAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of my league :stongue: |
she was out of your league with that attitude! lol.
If you see her again then just continue on the train for as long as she stays on... who cares if you are late. at least that way you can give yourself more time to strike up a better conversation. plus it will look like you might have more in common going to closer stops.
just ask her how far she is going, and if this is her regular shedule route/timing.
and remember, it's only stalking if you get caught and do it in a creepy way ;) |

Wow, so you met her twice, and the second time you didn't do anything. I'm gonna have to go with Diabolic and say just let it go. you've allready pumped her up too much. So you say the train was crowded. Ok. You should have looked up once or twice to see that she'll meet your eyes again, get it together, and walk off with her. So you'll be 15 minutes late for work. If you should be so lucky to see her a third time, do not let the opportunity pass up.

It seems to me that you are basing your idea of the perfect woman on the wrong characteristics.... If you can tell that a woman is perfect for you solely by looking at her, you have some astounding powers of deduction. By looking at a woman, you might only be able to discern her "hotness" while only scraping the surface of her personality.
My point is, if you are basing your idea of a perfect woman only on looks, then it's no wonder you are intimidated. Once you realize that people are more than just their appearance, then you will become more comfortable talking to them (and more interesting b/c you will have things to talk about other than her appearance)

I'm glad someone said it. John, its kinda funny to hear you talking like this. Not something I would have expected. But that just goes to show, you cannot really know people by what they look, and you should most definitely not be bethroning them because of said reasons. Some of the advice here is good, and some is just ridiculous. My 0.02 cents. Be calm. Ridiculousness, or outrageous behaiviour will only work with the truly freakish out there, and I don't think you really want that. Be a gentleman, and when you talk, smile, be confident, no umms and ahs, and stare (not literally STARE, but look intensely) at her eyes. If there's any chemistry there, it'll come through in that, for both of you. When it happens, you'll know what I mean. I've been in this situation before, and nothing has really ever come of it. However, when you should take the chance to go for it, its always a good experience. Either things will take off, or at least you would have tried. |
