Doom 3 Anticipation Thread

Since we are all nerds in here, who is looking forward to doom 3?
I am, personally I think it will be the next step in computer games. Real time physics and lighting will make the games we play seem a lot more real and thus more fun.
Assuming its not some realistic boring soccer simulation :) |

Lol, well I am certainly looking forward to it, this and Half Life 2, even though both games won't run very well on my computer. Is there a date as to when Doom 3 will be released? I heard that it is early August, is this accurate? |

the confirmed date that doom 3 will begin shipping is august 3. |
