Phelps eyes close rival Thorpe
August 22, 2004
By Derek Parr in Athens
AMERICAN swimmer Michael Phelps overnight made the startling admission that he wanted to engage in sexual relations with Australian competitor Ian Thorpe.
The United States set a world record to win the men's 4x100 metres medley relay giving Phelps, who decided to pull out of the final to give team-mate Ian Crocker his spot, still benefited from the victory, getting a sixth gold medal by virtue of having competed in the heats.
But although Phelps had the greater share of the limelight he has shrouded the US Swimming Team in controversy.
The drama all unfolded when Aaron Peirsol, double backstroke gold medallist at these Games, expressed public outrage at being cracked onto by the homosexual Phelps and being openly solicited for anal sex. Allegedly Phelps said that such sexual relations were common place in the US changing rooms and he would be gentle on the heterosexual Peirsol.
Phelps’ teammate Brendan Hansen said publicly “Michael (Phelps) is a nice guy and he loves being friendly to competitors and our whole swimming team is homosexual so I guess he thought it would be acceptable”.
The greatest controversy of the whole situation has resulted from Phelps admitting rival Ian Thorpe is his main sexual target.
“Ian (Thorpe) might publicly say that he is not gay, but I think I can turn him”, Phelps admitted. “I’m not sure whether it’s the skin tight body suit, the size 21 feet or that sensational fashion sense, but I get a ranging boner whenever I see Ian near the pool.”
“I wouldn’t mind copping the Thorpedo myself”.
The eighth medal took Phelps past fellow Americans Mark Spitz (1972) and Matt Biondi (1988), who each won seven in one Games, but it wasn’t gold medals on his mind after the competition.
“I’m looking forward to a decent all male gangbang in the Olympic Village now the swimming is over”, Phelps stated. “I like it rough and nasty.”
Phelps said that homosexual relations were his secret in the pool and was worried that converting Ian Thorpe to rampant gay sex could see his own records broken. “That’s the price I’m willing to pay to get some Thorpey booty”, Phelps said.
Phelps has to now deal with an ultra conservative American public and could face expulsion from the Olympic Team.

From what I heard from my friends in Australia, Thorpe could have any woman he wanted because he is near popstar status. If I was him, I'd take a chance with Leisel Jones or as the world media calls her Lethal Jones |

Phelps will be the talk of the Athens 2004 Olympics. 8 medals is an amazing haul but it won't be near Spritz. I'm not trying to downplay what Phelps did, which is nothing short of amazing but 7 gold, 7 world records for Spritz is beyond the scope. I doubt Phelps will equal that record, swimming is just too competitive.
tho the talk of the games is the trash talker extraordinare Maurice Greene losing the 100m event. |
didnt he win in a time where the olympics were boycotted by alot of countries? |

funny how the time he got this time, is what won him gold in australia, but wasnt sufficient for gold this time around.....
guess its fair to say everyone is just plain getting faster all around.
I dont remember the time diff, but was a close race nonetheless for everyone. IMO its hard to call it an ass beating when you're talkin tenths of a second. |

gary hall jr. is the , he has everyright to be arrogant and flamboyant, i mean they write him off every year, he's too young, he's a diabetic, yet he comes back and kicks everybody in the balls everyyear. Once again he is the fastest swimmer on the planet.
oh that and he looks like johnny bravo, which makes him cool in my book.
|
he reminds me of that rich white haired WWF wrestler back in the day. Always came in in a robe, put his arms in the air, very arrogant etc.....
I used to love wwf as a kid, i should know his name, but i forgot. |

| Munich was not boycotted, the Isreal hostage taking was the headline of that games, the boycotted games were Moscow in 1980 |

| no one can hate on Phelps. He was hyped by the media, not himself. He could have raced in even more races believe it or not and he chose not to. He gave up his spot in the final race. Him and Thorpe didn't seem to be rivals when they were joking around prerace. Again this is hyped by the media. Phelps I think has to be regarded as the best overall swimmer in the world as he is good in every stroke. I hope next Olympics he comes back and in addition to all these races he competes in the platform diving competition and water polo teams too. |

you are just jealous because phelps is the athlete wit the most medals in the olympics and the US is the country with the most medals...while australia not even on top and wont be..and they didnt even qualify for the 4x100 relay wtf? :stongue: :stongue: :stongue: |
Err, we have a population of 20 million, the US has around 300 million. Considering that, fourth on the medal table is actually very good; we should be a lot lower. As for the 4x100, from memory we won the womens event, although I don't remember what happened in the mens.
And FYI, I don't think that Egypt has even won a medal. |

If there were an event that ecompassed the all American style of thinking you are better than the world whilst being cocky, arrogant and annoying then I'm sure Phelps would have broken all the world records. |
Do you have any evidence that Phelps is arrogant, or are you just mouthing off? |

Pretty far fetched story about Phelps being a flaming homo with the hots for Thorpe. Show me the link or STFU!
