If your reasons are mostly religious, I doubt watching tons of porn to learn about sex is better than have premarital sex. |

My unsolicited two cents.
I respect those of you that are waiting to have sex for whatever reason. If you are doing it for religious reasons then that is something that I won't address because that decision should be respected. Those that don't really have a reason there are some things that you should know that most people just never talk about. It is possible that you and your partner may end up not being compatible in the bedroom. I don't care what anyone tells you...if you are not compatible your relationship is headed for trouble. I have dated people where I thought that things were good and had a lot of potential, but when it came down to it the sex was just horrible. You may think that you will just "work" on it and things will be all better. It's just not that easy. Once you have sex you will understand what I am talking about. For me it wasn't an option because after a few times of "trying" I just completely lost interest. You may think that sounds shallow and maybe to a degree it is. You have to remember this though...when you get married that is the person that you are going to spend the rest of your life with. That means that is the only person that you will have sex with for the rest of your life. Let go of the idea that "but I love her so I will love making love to her". Love does not make you compatible. Why do you think so many couples dwindle down to only having sex a few times a year? They just didn't click. I told my parents when I was younger that I could not imagine not knowing what I was getting myself into with someone. I want to be happy in all aspects of the relationship...including sex. |
I have to agree 100% with this. I had a gf wich I loved very much and she did too in return, but we were just not compatible at all. We stayed together more than a year, I kept trying to fix that part of our relationship, but it just would not work. And when the other person expects great sex but she just dosent do it for you well it,s not gonna be great.... |

Oh and some people (not all) that defend waiting need to relax about saying things like ''well I'd rather not have one night stands, etc'' I had sex with my gf's and I'm not married, but I never had a one night stand and always loved my gf's.
And just a question for you people : If you were with someone for 3 years and were sure to get married but you were just 21 and didnt have the money and time, etc to get married, would you still not have sex?
Btw I respect your choices 100% I just always wondered about this little thing... |
