So right now if Slovakia loses, then it's:
Finland vs. Germany Mon., Sep. 6 Hartwall Arena, Helsinki
Russia vs. U.S. Tues., Sep. 7 Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul
Canada Vs. Slovakia Wed., Sep. 8 Air Canada Centre, Toronto

Alright guys...time for me to get involved!!!

And NONE better than WORLD CUP!!
OKay this is what i say....The remaining 4 teams for the semis will be FINLAND - CZECH Republic, CANADA and USA! ( WHy I say this....Sweden is strong but they have to get by the CZECHS who haven't really shown us much yet but have one hell of a team and if they are going to pull it off....they will do it in this 1/4 final)!
FINLAND VS USA, CANADA VS CZECH
CANADA VS FINLAND!
CANADA WORLD CUP CHAMPS WITH A 4 - 2 WIN OVER FINS.....
BRODEUR THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYER!! (can you tell I LIKE BRODEUR)!!

Indeed, but no worries, they will not get by the wall that is Kipprusoff (sp).
Finland wins 3-1 against US, Canada beats Czechs 4-1, Canada beats Finland 2-0

| Not too ambitious really. Finland is the only team in this tournament with a chance to stop Canada, and that's only because of their goalie. Sweden has a history of choking, and that's just what happened in the 1/4s. |

Sweden was playing Mikeal telquivst (sp?, the Leaf's farmhand goalie with somehing like 20 NHL games. If a full allstar lineup didn't decimate him, I'd be suprised. If Salo was playing, all 6 goals would have been off his head and in the net lol. |

IMO the only way Canada can lose this tournament is if they choke. It's Canada's tournament to lose.
Canada has the best goaltender in the world (perhaps in history), and have enough firepower to make a Swede, Czech, Russia all-star line look like a high school non-contact hockey team.
No other nation has the depth, from the blueline back, that Canada has. The Americans might complain that they are missing 4 defencemen, but so is Canada. Now Canada has Redden out too (although, I think that's a good thing).

Slovakia has a real decent team actually...I didn't realize it until I saw their roster...
