I think that Mark Sherry's productions are pretty wank, but I have listened to previous mixes by him and they are really good.
Just because he makes tunes is not gonna stop me listening to his mixes, if I like the look of the tracklist I'll download/buy it no matter who's mixed it.

| This is highly amusing all the way around. One guy arguing with 5 or 10 and he still doesn't get it. If I listened to one of your mixes and thought it sucked I wouldn't feel the need to broadcast it on a thread. I would send you a PM and tell you the areas that needed work. I wonder if you're even any good at mixing, or just a wannabe trying to rip on everyone else because you never made it. Even if that were the case, I wouldn't feel the need to go on your thread about your new demo that you really like and bash it. |

to be honest with everyone I personally like daveclarke aka twigs "negatite" personallity. It fosteres the debate the MD needs.
However, what everyone fails to understand that his negatitivity is not without reason (unlike the other TA's on the board who post sh!t this guy actually backs himself up). If you ask him to explain his rationale he will in detail to you.
It is quite naive to beleive that we all can agree on everything. Can we not just come to the understanding that we all have difference. Yet, it is important for all of us to understand and respect those difference.
That said.
daveclarke your opinion could be said a but more kindly. you are a very smart person and you should try to express yourself in the best way verbally. Thus in a manner which is non offense yet expresses your point. Attacking someone personally is not cool. Attacking ones beliefs, comments, tastes etc. is cool IF you can do it in the context of reason.
Thus please explain to me why this DJ set does not meet your standards

Right. I don't mind him stirring things up. Obviously, I do that from time to time, especially regarding Tiesto and Van Dyk. But I wouldn't rip them on their thread about the new mix they were giving away for free. He does help conversation, and he does know the music. I'm not sure he's a good dj, cause I haven't heard him yet. I was just trying to make a point about the way he approached the situation. I wouldn't appreciate someone ripping me like that, without even listening to the mix. |

I am not sure if he intends to offend people or if he lacks comunication skills to explain himself yet not offend others. Even if the otheres you are commincating with are not at the same level of understanding about the music there is no need to call someone a fool or stupid. This I can not tolerate.
He does have a nasty habit of attack people personally though. It makes me wonder if I am dealing with an adult or a teenager.
I respect his opinion when he explains himself clearly though.
I hope one day we can all "return a favor " and express our honest views on his mix,radio show,etc.
I have personally invited him to tune into my radio show becuase I know I can expect to hear a very honest and uncensored review.
daveclarke just explain yourself when you make these bold statements. all i will ever ask of you

He's just honest and he wont sugarcoat anything for anyone, be it an amateur, or a big dj (not mark sherry, he's hardly big) who asks his opinion. He wont ever back down, but its refreshing and sincere to hear the stuff he says.
And he is a very good dj, so dont try and pull that one :stongue: |

I am sick and tired of the small minded idiots on this forum that think it's cool to slate off other ppl on here, whoever they are.
some ppl on here post only to flame others, you never see constructive criticisim, only this guy sucks, or stfu noob.
it would help if ppl posted why they think someone sucks instead of just saying 'you suck'
If a mix by a DJ is not liked, what is the reason you don't like it?
is it because of the track selection, the set does not flow or is it because the mixing is out of key, not in sync or mixed at a bad point in the track?
it's all too easy to say those 2 words 'you suck', try thinking about why a dj sucked and post those reasons, maybe that way ppl would not take offense and then respond in a like manner.
and my only connection with the nu-gen board is that i know mattm who runs it, i am not a member of those forums and i don't intend to be a member of those forums.
