Montreal got trashed pretty bad in '93.. and Vancouver did when they lost as Jay mentioned ..
i'm sure there were a lot more tame celebrations thoughtout the city, like the one we saw at Dundas Sq. this camera was shooting a bunch of idiots doing idiotic things which i'm sure pale in comparison with some of the more chaotic riots that go on in other countries in far larger numbers where people actually die (ie. football?). i'm not defending the actions of what these fools were doing, but i don't think it's isolated with the fact that it took place in Toronto.

You should check your own backyard before coming here and shooting off your cowboy mouth. Wasnt there a report on W-5 or some other show on that bar/party street in edmonton where everynight they have like this happen. Fights, small business' getting windows smashed, looting etc.
Its not because its Torontonians. Bet you half that crowd was from out of town. Everyone knows Toronto is the place to celebrate.
The rest of this country doesnt hate Toronto because we are 'clasless', its because this country revolves around us (ontario) and Toronto represents Ontario. We have the strongest national economic/financial industry, we decide who is the government.
Oh, wait a sec, the west has no grass to feed its cattle during a drought. I remember the load of trains that brought out the hey, the fund raising, support of the beef industry and all that where as Alberta, doesnt share the benefits of their oil. We have to pay top dollar when you greedy ******s export 80% of it.

| wow you guys are the biggest in pansies...the worst you've ever seen??? a few taxi's getting rattled and some minor arrests. something you have to realize is everyone is compleley drunk and recklessly celebrating feeling like they're on cloud in nine where they can do whatever the they want. i was there and personally i never witnessed these things, it was 100% clean anything i saw the whole nite, this was just a sectioned event where some ruthless partiers cause trouble. Don't you expect these things to happen??/ like honestly. this is canada's game and we're not going to have it for a whole year, so ppl basically got there last ounce of energy out. 90% of these ppl did it with class so don't say toronto is classless. theres going to be ppl like that everywhere, the majority of toronto knew how to party and do it clean. i hate how ppl will watch a in video and jump to conclusions. and even if you were there and still say toronto is classless, maybe you just shouldn't go out into big crowds. BECAUSE WE WON THE IN WORLD CUP so of course everyone is going to go crazy. |

Dude, nobody has the right to damage any property.
These cab drivers dont have a tonne of money and are already insured as high risk. Now they have to file claims for damage and run the risk of higher premiums plus loss of work while their car is getting fixed.
Being drunk is not an excuse. Ive been at every level of drunk and never once did i cause or do anything stupid that would effect anyone other than myself.
It has nothing to do with being pansies. Should you choose to celebrate under the canadian banner then act appropriately.
I think the cops should of beat the out of anyone who got out of line. How funny was that broad that got hit by the cop with the helmet. She tries pulling a cop of her BF. Still LMAO

| i agree man, its in reckless and i sympathise with anyone who gained any misfortune do to tuesday nite, because no one deserves that to happen to them. and being drunk is absolutely no excuse. i can agree with your comment that i myself have been at every point of drunkeness and have never let my self get out of hand to doing stupid things. My point is just that some ppl look for nites like this where they can do reckless things and be as arogent as they want, because they won't stand out since they're part of a large group of ppl all going nuts along with them. these individuals very well knew what they're doing, but as most ppl, they don't think of the consequences or who they're hurting. I just think its become something to expect, be cause a big celebration is always going to bring out ppl looking to cause trouble, and its unfortunate. but hey, the world is full of stupid ppl right? |
