Ontop of all the condeming posts of those who participated in this, the Police deployment was exceptionally weak for an event of this size being hosted in Toronto.
One thing that is just as disapointing is the majority of comments about the rioters as "rednecks" or "not from Toronto" or the burbs, etc. Did they flash KKK signs, or hold up their Driver's Licences to indicate their City of origin?? I must have missed those parts. Face facts guys, these were your average class(less) form of teen to twentysomethings jocks drunk and being s.
These are the people that go to Joe, Docks, Joker, Phoenix, Money.. the people that we cringe upoin spotting @ an EDM club like BOA or System. The drunken JOCKS that we wish would never leave the Brunswick House are the kind of ppl that are on display here.
Anyone for those on-street Police Surveilence cameras now? I bet this will be used as exhibit A to bring them to Toronto now.. |

yes i did say that and i am leaving not because of stupid things like this. but because of the mentality of the people and this is a prime example. a riot over a hockey game victory. someone said it before in this thread, there are riots everywhere in the world but most riots happen for a cause not over a celebration in hockey. the reason why im leaving canada north america in general is because we are too controlled. so controlled that we'll find any reason to have a violent outburst even a win in a hockey game is a good enough reason. hell and its not just north america its even in europe its everywhere for sakes.. western civilization is lacking freedom. |

WTF? freedom is the power to act or speak or think without externally imposed restraints... more specifically The capacity to exercise choice... thats what freedom is... not being told by your country what to do... |

and ur told by ur country what to do. they dont come straight out with a gun to your head and say it. they have sneakier ways of doing it. id rather have a guy with a gun to my head telling me what to do then having someone whisper in my ear, getting manipulated, what to do. at leats with the gun to my head i know who im being controlled by, and once he puts that gun down for two seconds i have the choice to act or not. |
