I've never seen so many people pissed off at a club in my life!
looks like Glow majorly ed everyone over (unless you managed to get there before 10pm -- whicH sucks anyways).

wow, sounds like a great set, but a horrible club
and i'm reading all the posts on the glow forum as well. Kinda makes me feel a little better about missing it last night.
I hope this is an incentive for FUr to get their act together, or I may not want to go clubbing in October. |

I didn't go myself but I've been reading the buzzboard and the groovanauts board, and by and large, people all seem to be really unhappy with how the night went.

david he was using his laptop, you could barely see it from below...
but a quick review, i didnt like the beginning... wayyyy to many people so i couldn`t move at all which means no room to dance which made me upset... so i just walked around for a little bit. i started to like his set starting around 3am when he started to play some techno or harder stuff, that was really bumpin. other than that its a nice club but too many people and there were a buncha drunk asses pushing people around and . no courtesy :mad: |

Actually, dip, he played lot's of new tunes last night....like Tranz said. You weren't there so quit giving us your gay reviews.
I thought the place was really well layed out... I loved chillin' on the balconies and looking down on everybody. Sound system was definitely kickin' and Paul rocked it for a damn good 3 1/2 hours and never let up. I haven't had that much fun at a PvD show since his shows at Roxy in 2002....and I was basically sober most of the night. I got there nice and early so I guess I missed all the nonsense of waiting to get in.
I'll definitely be back for more Glow, and I'm sure some the minor kinks will be worked out.
Anyone have a real tracklist from the night?

I agree that it sucks to wait in line, but minus that, what do you expect. It's not new york, so you're not gonna have a new york size club. And, it was the first night, so of course there are gonna be delays. Like I said, I got there early so maybe I just didn't witness the magnitude of the situation outside.
We'll see what happens in the coming weeks I guess. I just wish people would talk about how great the set was in this review thread instead of continous bitching about Fur. Head over to the glow boards if you wanna talk about that. There are like 8 threads of bitching started over there. |

The wait in line (2 hours) was unbearable and could have been avoided if they had more than one metal detector and what seemed like only a couple of bouncers doing the search. The double line for will-call was self defeating as they should have had you go right into the club after you got your ticket - as opposed to getting into another line with non-ticketholders.
The new club seems cool but the floorplan is horrendous. There's really nowhere to dance comfortably as there's a constant flow of people trying to get by at all times - unless you're up on a stage, a balcony, or a platform. I was finally able to find a semi-open spot towards the left of the DJ booth since there was little to no traffic originating from that corner.
All in all it wasn't a great night, but I really did enjoy PvD's set towards the end. He laid down some bangin tracks and a friend of mine that isn't a huge PvD fan even commented that it sounded like his Galaxy in Ibiza set that I had been playing in the car on the ride to DC.
My ears aren't ringing today so I don't know what they're doing with all of those 100,000 watts!? I think that Nation's system hits much harder and their floorplan makes Fur's look like an incongruous maze in which it's impossible to find a suitable dance area. They both may hold the same amount of people, but Nation still seems mammoth sized in proportion to Fur. It was a disappointment if you ask me. :(
