REVIEW TIME!!!!
On the flight to and from Pittsburgh... I got searched... BOTH TIMES!! UGH UGH UGH!
I got to Pittsburgh on Friday and slept away the whole day, only waking so we could go eat something and so I could play with Brians snake (I think he just uploaded pics of that, actually!) Saturday it took Brian forever to wake me up, but when he finally did, we went drove to DC and got LOST!!!! It took forever to find the hotel, but when we did OMG how sick was that hotel!?!? :crazy:
We went there when the doors SUPPOSEDLY opened at 9, but we waited outside forever in the freezing cold, with Amy and Janet in their way hot fur outfits (who were FREEZING!) but when we finally got inside, the club looked so nice!! We ended up seeing Edgar practice before they let everyone in the main room, it was pretty awesome, but I think he asked the bass levels to be turned down because he was having trouble mixing, or he just didn't like the bass so high.
Once they opened the doors to the main room we went down there and had a blast to Edgar's set. We were pretty up close when PVD came out and I screamed (Yes, that was me!) and then PVD opened up with a killer track (has anyone ID'd it yet?) and busted into a great set... UNTIL...... someone threw a shirt up there and made him up. The whole crowd yelled "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!" and PVD looked so pissed!!! :eek: He then recovered though and was pounding out, it was great. But then those two lesbians just kept bumping into me and then when that one girl grabbed me... it was over, I had to hit her. ugh ugh! :clown:
PvD then trainwrecked... again! But we don't know if it was on purpose... someone did something... or he just ed up. But hey- he recovered again, and made my night with Josh Gabriel - I feel Alive, Second Sun - The Spell (killer track, so glad I was one of the few that knew the lyrics haha!), and the remix of Blue Monday. I died each time!! When PvD ended, Edgar took over again, and I hated his second set! WTF happened? He turned up the bass levels so high that I could barely hear anything all day the next day! We weren't listening to RAP! No need for that to be so killer high!!

Brian- This weekend was amazing. :) I don't even know what to say, it was so great.
Amy and Janet (and the whole non-TA crew)- It was great finally meeting you guys! Thanks for letting us stay with you :) Janet, you're a punk for passing out so early, and Amy, I hope you're feeling better!
Amanda and John- You two had to be my favourite new people that I met, I had a blast hanging out with you two! I hope I get to see you again! :disbelief
Ian- Jew crew got back together again!!! I'm so glad I got to see you hot stuff!
Brent- You crazy mo-fo!! I can't believe you flew from Oklahoma for this (though, I flew from Florida!!! :stongue: hahahah) So good to see you again!
Jose- Good meeting you, glad you know you aren't such a jerk IRL! (haha)
Mike- Nice meeting you too (always and forever... not! hahahaha)
EssentialMix3r!! I knew that was you!! I knew I recognized that face. :D Glad I got to meet you!
All the other random TAs I met- Glad I got to meet you, sorry we couldn't all chat more!
Overall the show was pretty good, I wasn't liking the attitude of the crowd, some of the spacing, and how some stuff was set up. Sucks that the Marco show is 21+... :(

it was great meeing you sarah.... definitely had a fun time and i'm feeling much better after some sleep. you have to come party with the glowcrew once again! :)
missed you guys most of the night. i was trapped up front under the dj booth with just enough room to dance, and nothing was moving me out of that spot. when me and janette went to find you guys, it took us almost an hour to get to where you were. no lie.
and you are one to talk about punking out and going to sleep! i remember looking for you and brian saying you were in bed! :p |

Doesn't mean I was asleep! :disbelief I was up... I just didn't know anyone, and my feet hurt. Some huge fat man jumped up and landed on my feet. They are so bruised and swollen right now!!! :sadgreen:

| wow too bad that night sucked so much -- I really enjoyed PvD's set, but the fact that I had to hear it at Glow basically ruined it for me. Total and complete chaos at the door (over an hour wait in enormous lines that we even cut to the front of), and really rude unhelpful staff. The club itself was a joke too. The nice "Hip Hop" lounge that took up half the club was a real treat. :rolleyes: By far the worst sound system ive ever heard in a club (ears just stopped ringing today), and a horrible layout too. Whoever designed the ONE narrow stairway leading onto the dancefloor should be shot. It got so incredibly crowded there that, after going to the bathroom, I wasn't able to get back in, held back by Glow staff acting like pricks shoving us like cattle. This in turn made me miss a good 45 min of the end of his set, because they said it was "too crowded" to let anyone else in. Hmmm mabye you wouldnt have that problem if 2000 people wern't all trying to walk onto a 3 foot wide stairway at once. And I almost didnt get into the club, becuase i didnt have my "proper footwear" on. I still dont see who goes and dances all night with Kenneth Cole pennyloafers on, I dunno mabye Im missing something. Im really not into the "dressy" club scene though. You could dress the crowd that was there in Armani and Prada and theyd still look like a heap of trash... Glad to say that was my first and last time at the new and improved Glow!! |

I guess I'm one those from who made the best out of a crazy night,I actully had alot fun.I have a new respect for Paul Van Dyk. I really loved his set this time around.
