I didn't go to PvD, won't go to Glow, and ing hate Melodic Trance. Glad you dumbasses had a bad time. Serves you right for not seeing the OBVIOUS coming.

PvD + Corporate Clubbing = Bad Experience... get it?

Wow, someone is bitterly cynical!

PvD wasn't spinning Melodic Trance last night. :D

I'm glad that I don't come off like a ball of hate because I probably wouldn't have many friends.

Yeah, the diversity might be a little too much for some, but it's no reason to get your hackles up.

People usually go to Buzz to enjoy themselves, not to stand around on the dance floor looking and acting superficial.

Have you ever been to Ibiza? You probably shouldn't.

if the buzz crowd listens to non trance music and you say that is unacceptable then aren`t you saying that you like trance? then you contradict yourself saying you hate melodic trance, which PvD didnt play much of last night.

Duh, that is exactly what he was saying. Most of the crowd that Glow (especially FUR) attracts IS that type of crowd that goes to stand around and show off their money, and could give a less about the music. You might as well have PvD spinning at Dream or Platinum.

Well, the way that he articulated his post made it look like he was insulting those people for exhibiting their individuality.

My sincere apologies for misconstruing his sarcasm.

BTW - don't you hate Trance, Beema?

I think that PvD should really have been spinning for a small crowd at 1223, that way the table seats could have sold for $2,500 each. You should promote it.

Yeah that ****** is always pissed off ,always pmsing all over the baords. PVD's set was really really hard ,there was barely any melodic trance being played.

For real.....what did you all expect??? Opening night for one of the most talked about new clubs EVER!!! Hello!!! WAKE UP!!! This wasn't just the opening night for Glow....It was the opening night of Fur itself so you can expect horrible lines. I do feel bad for the people that bought pre-sale tickets and didn't get in......thats just ing bull and bad business.

We did it right.....got there @ 9 on the dot. No problems getting tickets at the booth. Was in line for about 15-20 minutes before they opened the doors. WOW!!!!! Amazing club.......its ing gorgeous inside. I like the lay out of the club, the smoke free balcony was really nice. We were up there for the begining of Edgars set untill they opened the main dance floor.....then it was like a sea of people flooding to the floor with only one way there....down the stairs (the only part of the club I didn't like) Edgars opening set was FRIGGIN BANGIN!!! Sick toons!!! He was droping some really nice progressive with a hint of tribal. They didn't even have the system turned up for Edgar and it was BANGIN!!! You could hear them testing the lows here and there......when the bass would hit....it friggin rattled your whole body but it was really solid.

PVD came on @ 1 and people went friggin nuts.....I think between Sara and the Asian girl stading next to me.......I lost my hearing from the OMFG PVD screaming. :stongue: Im not sure what track he opened with but damn did that sound system sound crisp. Very good balance of highs, mids, lows. And the way they have speakers placed, the sound is really good just about everywhere on the main floor (bass is a bit too loud towards the back) We were chillin up front for awhile untill these two dike ass bitches were totally out of control.....ramming into people, dancing like fools, making out, and even grabing other girls that were stading around including Sara!!!:wtf: I was ready to knock them out myself but no need for that cause Sara turned around and regulated on those dike bitches!!!:haha: :haha: :haha: About 4-5 tracks into his set, some douche bag decided to throw his shirt up at the booth and it knocked the needle totally off the record and the music stoped. Paul took the shirt and threw it right back at the dude and then security threw his dumb ass out. What the is up with stupid ass people throwing at the DJ????:whip: I heard some prick in Boston did the same thing with a glow stick.....ing idiots!!! But Paul came back and started playing really hard.....from then on out it was a bangin set. Good mixture of hard and epic tracks. Paul played for a good 3 1/2 hours along with two encores.

Tracks that I remembered........

PVD - Buenaventura
Beam - Anun (Cosmic Gate remix)
New Order - Blue Monday (remix????) SICK TOON!!!
Randy Katana - In Silence (Txitxarro Mix)
PVD - For an Angel
Sam Sharp - Deep
Josh Gabriel - Alive (first time hearing it...awesome track)
A.S.Y.S - No More ing Rock'N'Roll (Paul van Dyk Edit)
DK - Murder was the Bass !!!!!   (never expected this one!!!)
Final Sylas - Classic Wave
Marcos - Cosmic String
Marcos - Just for a Day
Luise La Roche - C`est L´heure (Main Mix)
M.I.B - Keep Pushin
Nu NRG - Freefall

Edgar came back on after Paul but we didn't stay to much longer. But Edgars first track was The Lost Boys - Cry Little Sister (Terry Bones remix).....thanks for the ID Trancer and trancebrat.
;) This was one of my favorite tracks of the night. I knew it was a song from the Movie Lost Boys but couldn't put my finger on it.

All in all it was a good night. The club is gorgeous, the sound is amazing, but the crowd saturday night was . But you can expect that for the opening night. I bet 1/4 of the people there didn't even know it was PVD playing. These are all things that will get weeded out as time goes on. I can't wait to go back for Marco V!!!!!

Shout outs.....(TA & Glow boards)

^^^^^^^ good review, same happened when the new club opened in Dallas and they brought pvd. A bunch of people who had no idea who pvd was, they just wanted to see the club. Over packed, and people who had presales didn't get in.

I really could've cared less what it was like, I would've been happy enough being there with you guys, pvd or not.
glittergirl
ok i'm barely awake yet and i have mixed reviews, and soon i'll post some pics.

this is my review that i posted on Glow so if some of it doesnt make sense, i apologize for my laziness cutting/pasting.

----------

Like Dan said, there are going to be kinks on opening night, especially with pvd there... so i was expecting some things to not be all that great,

but when the glowgirls leave GLOW early... leave a PVD set EARLY.... you know it was pretty bad.

we did not pay for valet. we knew better. we took a cab from our hotel. best idea from us - w00t! i cant complain too much about the line... we did have to wait for quite a bit but since we got there SO early at least we made it in pretty early to get to see everything before it filled up. and it WAS NICE. when i saw antonis all i could say was - WOW. and he made sure me and sky got stamps to get into dan's room, which i thought was weird cuz i thought all rooms were supposed to be open. Pete said that himself. I guess what he didnt say (or didnt know) was that all rooms would EVENTUALLY open, and that SOME people would be allowed in. And dan wasnt too happy about it - when we went to see him we were pretty much the only ones in there. and dan said "What good is my own room if none of my glow family can get in here to see me?" that was the first really disappointing thing. Me and sky left to try to get other people in with us -- do you think it worked? NO.

Drinks were outrageous.... after buying one jagerbomb at $14 i stopped drinking. (except for 2 more jagerbombs that vtec bought). and i'm glad i did - my friend chris waited at the bar for probably more than a half hour to get a bottle of water. i thought it was mandatory to have water fountains available (even though i've seen some new york clubs turn off the COLD water, at least there was still water....) and they wouldnt give a cup of ice for his WARM water even after waiting that long. the bar. pay tons extra and get yourself a vip table next time, it will probably be cheaper in the long run.

----------------

Well, the sound system was ing awesome. AWESOME LOUD - super crisp. good job with the sound system.

BUT... unfortunately for us, there wasnt enough good perks like this to outweigh the ty time we had towards the end, and i'm not usually one to pack it in early just because there are some s in a club - there is in any club. but around 4 we had just HAD it. we left.

I saw way too many of my friends have a ty time, and get dicked left and right with money. I felt horrible for dan, and forget trying to get back up to his room because i coudlnt even bother trying to get from one side of the crowd to the other -- i dont care what the supposed "capacity" is.... TICKETHOLDERS FIRST... and for God's sake limit the amount of tickets. I've waited in a line that wrapped around AN ENTIRE NEW YORK BLOCK to see pvd at soundfactory and STILL got in quicker than 3 hours that some of these people waited who wants to go back to be caught in that mob? The only room i found to somewhat dance was UNDER the dj booth, so i never saw pvd ONCE all night. and once i got there i was trapped there. Thank God i got trapped next to some glow people who made my night fun. And yeah - what sky said about ignorant people just grabbing us -- that never happened at the old glow, people were more respectful. they limited the dress code so much that some of my friends had to CHANGE OR LEAVE yet they couldnt leave out some of the fathead s? There were plenty of drunken hoes there SPILLING THEIR ING DRINKS ALL OVER ME ALL NIGHT AND SPASTICALLY HUMPING EACH OTHER HITTING PEOPLE and taking up so much room you HAD to move out of their way, and then on top of it every 5 seconds i was getting molested by some dude... and even after i made it VERY CLEAR to some of them, not so nicely, they still kept coming back for more. I used Chris, Franco, and various other people as my fake boyfriends for the night to get them off of me. ty. there was enough security - my friends didnt pay to get in to have to be bodyguards.

----

Mani and sylvia couldnt get in. Now i understand he didnt have ID, but come on - he flew from MIAMI to DC twice a MONTH to support Glow - dont tell me SOMEONE out there didnt recognize him and give him a break. It was a lot of the same people running the line. i'm sure he didnt care about being able to drink, and he certainly looks like he is 30.... but no - they flew all the way from miami to sit in our hotel all night. i almost cried when i heard that. that's what really ruined the night for me and sky, coudlnt have fun knowing our friends couldnt get in. I dont care if it was opening night or not - you RECOGNIZE your PATRONS - that's how you build a clientele. good luck getting support from a lot of people after that.

--

I'm done ranting. Aside from how ty the night got toward the end, oh yeah - and did i mention TOO MUCH FOG -- i still had a pretty good time, and pvd's set was --- note this -- "all right" to me - certainly not one of his best -- still, we bring our own party anyway, and as long as i'm surrounded by my friends i make the best of it..... Neophyte, WithinYou, IntoMe, Chilean-Wasted and friend, and about 15 other people from the glow board -- it was AWESOME meeting you and dancing with you. Caitlin, Lauren, Larry, Courtney, Brian, Sara, Brent, Sergio, wally, ian, lildanzingirl, Sammy, Mustafa, Harun, Alex, J-BID, mike vicious, Josie, Jose, Jamiroguy, Franco, Chris, Gerald, Kasper & Nicole, Jonathan & Amanda, pudding, and 20 other old glowheads i cant think to mention right now -- good seeing you troopers again. Dont worry - I'm still coming back to Glow each and every week (except next week i have a wedding) and i have faith that Panorama will get it togheter.

But still - i'd trade in that beautiful club for Insomnia any day - i said that before we even got in. There was a vibe at the old Glow that i bragged to EVERYONE in the country about constantly, and i'm sorry but - i didnt feel even a PIECE of that vibe last night. it was just another big club. and it really hurts me to say that.

so in closing this huge review - BETTER STAFF - better line arrangements for ticket holders, LESS PEOPLE, LESS FOG, and dan sampson would rather play for us HIS FAMILY than some stupid stuck-up vip peope -- this ISNT 1223. I'll never forget what sky said when we first walked in --- "So this is our new home. " --- NO, it wasnt.
