I believe the short haired member of Deep Dish is Ali, the long haired one is Sharam. I have always preferred Sharam over Ali for the exact reason you point out, Ali usually plays way too slow and soft. While it is trippy music, it is not well suited to the Space mainroom when played for any extended period. Note he does bang it out every blue moon, but not enough.
Last time I saw either of them at Space it was just Sharam (which is why I went) and he banged it out really nice. All techy, hard and acid house with tons of energy and nasty basslines. |
