Event Listings: Incubus, Beastie Boys - WHAT NEXT?

Hmmmm ... maybe I am being a bit paranoid, but I think mainstream music is taking over TA ... I saw event threads for these two ... bands, and I ask myself: is this an electronic music based site, or is it? I am happy that this once all-trance site got integrated into all-electronica, but come on, Incubus ... I am sorry, but I dont think this will lead to any good. I am just fed up with the criticism and hatred of mainstream culture who think electronic music is crap ... I know people around my workplace who hate it, but they dont have a good reason why. I guess they are jealous or something. We should be exposing electronic music better, not opening doors for mainstream music. There's so much electronica music out there that needs exposure and recognition, there's no time for ... Beastie Boys.
What do you think?
I am not saying that Beastie Boys and Incubus are awful, and I am well aware of who they are and I own some of their music, but ... I am just a bit worried, thats all. |

| Well - these two bands BOTH have dj's who incorperate EDM sounds in their songs. If you these events dont interest you, there are a few dozen others to look at. |
