They all came to sketchy parties in montreal ... i know the guy who threw the parties in quebec city and he was associated with a club/promoter in montreal
Even in quebec city ... Smaller Headliner are hard to breakeven ...

| Assassin has a point- Montreal is wonderful, I enjoy living here... but for trance, it's HORRIBLE. I would've thought we'd have a thriving trance scene, but no, it's all about house, etc. We should have something at least every two weeks, not every three months. You just can't compare the quality and quantity of the trance acts here with just ONE club like Turnmills or Plush. And one of the rare times we have someone worth watching (Thrillseekers) I'm not even going to be here !!!! :**( |

Ce genre de thread est la raison principale pourquoi je regarde rarement TA. I come here and all I see is people bashing trance? WTF? Pis la on parle même pas des flamewars personnels (insultes etc).

| despite the fact that house and techno are really good forms of music, there is something about trance that no other genre can do, i think its the fact that trance is soo high energy. i dont understand why some people hate it, but i can understand why they like other forms of edm more. to me trance rules but i dont look down on other forms of edm, i still enjoy them as well. |

I'll answer that one
People hate trance, because it hasn't evolved in any ways during the last decade, a trance song produce 10 years ago, is the same thing as a trance song produced yesterday.
Same build-up, same cheesy emotions, same song contructions.
Whereas other genre have evolved, they have changed in many ways, they have let themselves be influenced by all other genre of Edm !
