It took me forever to find that edition of Geographic with that original cover.
It's probably a collector's item now (June 1985).
April 2002 is the edition where Steve Mccurry goes back to find the Afghan girl, and they identify her with retinal scanning.
In all that time, those haunting green eyes have seen almost nothing but war and hardship (~ 20 years). |

anyways, here's a couple of pics from me, all taken with a 35mm slr camera (Nikon F5) and using Fuji Velvia 50 colorslidefilm and Kodak B&W T400CN black & white negativefilm. Scanned with Nikon Coolscan V filmscanner.
