Palestinians/PALESTINE HAVE existed LONGER than israel has. Just becuase it wasnt a "country" doesnt mean you should deny them as a people
I guess the TIBETANS and TIBET dont exist because they are still not a country

Just as the guy said...which is absolutely correct as well "Palestinian" is a modern invention...the place was called this way for years...and was owned by Britain...gee why don't we hate Britain as well then?!
Alright fine...so let's go back to the old days, and remember who existed longer...okay...why don't we go back to the bible then and see who lived there first...
It doesn't matter...The people who were there before were not Israelis but were simply JEWS and ARABS...not ISRAELIS and PALESTINIANS... |

Jews were there for a while.... but the majority, almost ALL of the inhabitants there were ARAB..seeing as that is an ARAB part of the earth. These arabs were and are known as PALESTINIANS
They derived from the ancient CANAANITE tribes...hence their INDEGINOUS characterists to that part of the world. The modern day jews do not derive from ancient hebrews...tehy are mostly yiddish from Eastern Europe.

They didn't TAKE IT...they were GIVEN the land by a vote of the United Nations that decided that after over 6,000,000 jews were burned and gased in the second world war, and all the anti-semitism in the world, and the fact that jews don't have their own land.
And now that I've actually though about it...I wonder who has a longer history of opression throughout history ;)
But if in this case you want to hate somebody hate the UN...and what you said about jews is utterly stupid...like I said...there were Arabs and Jews...now the Arabs became Palestinians.
And if you really actually believe that all Palestinians want is their own country you are obviously kidding yourself. The Palestinian dream (and most of the arab countries actually) is to see Israel completely destroyed. Iran and other Arab countries don't even recognize Israel's independence. So to say that Palestinians JUST want their own land, and that after they'll have it there will be peace is complete BS... |

Its funny how zionists like to change justify the actions of the UN as being right beucase "THEY GAVE IT". What if the UN gave half of ISrael BACK to the palesitinians??? I dont think you would like that.
And Israel doesnt even abide by the UN resolutions. When its convenient, zionists always seem to support the UN eventhough they violate so many rules.
And the UN was a very young, new and incompetent organization that dealt with a decision which put the fate of hundreds of thousands of lives at risk of death, displacement, and horror.

How did the arabs "become" palestinians????? Did they just make up a race and a culture and a language and an identity??? I guess the Kurds are an invention too!

Im not denying those nations' GOVERNMENTS want israel destroyed....
If i was palestinian i would want israel destroyed too... becuase they destroyed my people, home, dignity, pride, and harmony, all in the name of keeping the state jewish. If i was Iraqi, i would want the US destroyed to if i saw my family shot, neighborhood blown up, and the stench of dead bodies everywhere. Im sure you would want palestine destroyed as well if they did this to an oppressed israeli populace.

no, you're mixing up - those are revisionist (who typically also share a trait with anti-semitism). Nazis are the ones that realized Jews did indeed exist and therefore decided to exterminate them. They did not deny their existance, they realzied it and did something about it ---- sort of like the Palestinians actually...

They didn't take it. They were given the land by the UN....so the land is the UN's to give to anyone it pleases, DESPITE the fact that thousands of Palestinians lived on the land. So who cares if thousands of people already live on the land and have their own communities and their own national aspirations, it's alright to give the land to someone else. After all, it's the all-knowing United Nations.
1.Well if the UN gave you your state, then the least you could do is abide by its 68 or 69 Resolutions that Israel is in violation of.
2.You like to legitimize the UN when it suits you. When the UN gave you a state, it is lawful and legitimate, but when the UN votes against the War on Iraq or when International Law (UN Resolutions and the International Court of Justice) says Israel is in violation, the UN becomes illegitimate or irrelevant.
3.It's not for the UN to make such a decision in 1947 to partition Palestine. Many countries were also bribed or threatened with economic penalties by the United States for a vote in favour of partition. The UN further violated its own Charter by partioning Palestine. But I'm not going to talk about that here.
The Arabs that lived in Palestine were known as Palestinians for centuries, although there was no Palestine as a 'state'. The region was known as Palestine and the Arabs as Palestinians in the sense that people in Toronto are referred to as Torontonias, which is uncommon among Torontonians but among Palestinians it was common to be called that. Palestine was considered a province of the Ottoman Empire, and also part of Southern Syria. Palestinians began to fathom the idea of independence in the late 1800s. One of the very first magazines calling for independence was called "Palestine" or had the word "Palestine" in its title.
When you say the Palestinian dream is the "destruction of Israel" that is misleading. The word "destruction" might lead someone to think that our dream is to kill all the Jews. This is simply not true. Our dream is to establish a One, Binational, Secular, and Democratic State solution. This is our dream because it allows the Right of Return for Palestinian refugees as enshrined in International Law to be impelemented. It also allows everyone to be equal, Arabs and Jews. Yes the Jews might very well become a minority and we realize that's the reason why you hate this solution, because this solution destroys Zionism, and Zionism can't survive unless the majority is Jewish. So just to get things straightened out, when you say the "destruction" of Israel, it misleads people into thinking we want the death of the Jews when that is not the case. But I have to say, smart choice of words to make us look bad.
Now most of us understand that you won't accept this, so we tried to settle for a two-state solution. We demanded a state, didn't matter if it wasn't all of the land, but some of it, specifically we demanded 22%. Gaza, West Bank, East Jerusalem, and some agreement on the refugees. But from the outset of Oslo, Rabin made it clear that Jerusalem would be undivided, yet Arafat still chose to deal with Jerusalem later for the sake of peace and the progress of the Oslo accords. Yet settlement building and land confiscation continued, acts of extremism on both sides continued, and people got tired of a fruitless negotiation. I don't want to go through the failures of Oslo here or why the second intifada started. That's another topic. |
