Camcorder, damn, good idea. I took digi pics right after I opened it though, but camcorder would have been better.
I'll report it everywhere I can, police, paypal, ebay, whatever. I'm just pissed, I wanted my new toy. :) |

The dude has 7 feedback comments left in total, one is actually neutral. I never really looked at what he sold and now after the fact. He only ever sold stupid $3 and $10 items. Probably a scam to get his account up using his friends then make a big killing. Apparently, he doesn't have a receipt to say he sent it, and he doesn't have a receipt of ownership of the unit, didn't send the original box, instead of the good solid box it comes in, he sent it using a 5.99 "extra large" Canada Post box which is a pile of .
I'm going to hold out a few days. Let him sweat a little, I'll then ask him one last time, refund the money and we'll call it a day, or we can make this difficult for you. |

That sucks, sorry to hear... like other's said look into the paypal & ebay insurance.... and i'm sure you can send any packages with canada post, as long as they're sealed properly & the indicia/meter amount is in clear view...
where is this guy located? find out where he's from, and do a websearch on him, and see if you can find out any other info, like if he's had any charges for similar types of things, or fraud, etc..

paypal has buyer protection.. i am not sure all the rules so oyu may want to read up on it. Also, file a report with ebay RIGHT AWAY. and as for CP not exepting the original box is a crock of . The postal service and UPS actually prefer using original boxes and are trying to phase out that manila packing paper (something to do with it getting caught in the conveyer (??sp) belts.
leave some negative feedback right away, and take all action you can before it gets to late.
actually, go here.. http://www.theauctionboard.com , there are some knowlegable people over there..

Ebay wants you to try all these methods before filing, like waiting 30 days, and filing between 30 and 60 days. I was thinking I would wait thish week out, make him sweat a little since I had a 3rd party call and talk to him, outline what could happen to him, filing with the OPP and Windsor police, Canada Post, small claims court etc. So I'm HOPING that at the end of the week when he doesn't have his proof, he just refunds the money. He sounds like a kid who lives with his parents. If not, I'll go through every channel I have to make his life miserable.
That auctionboard website looks good, but the forums return a 404 not found. :) |
