Post any thing about music Production in the new section, but if your
posting a track to be heard still post in this section.

I don't know when the next comp will be, I will ask Pjotr G about the next
comp.

Well as stated in another thread, remix comp II is coming up. This time it's not actually a remix comp but a song make comp. However we all stick to the same basic chord progression (so you do get the same idea of everybody make another version of the same song, except without remixing). This is so you can put something you made for this comp on your own compliation CD or sumpin without everybody asking who the e.g. gil shwartz is :P .

Ok with this concept y'all?
dj dave b
how would we decide what melody to use?
Pjotr G
people can propose chord progressions, and we can once again for instance vote on which one to use...

I didn't enter the last comp because the descriptions and all this Messageboard thing was too blurry. Only a chord scheme is a great idea and this time even I might enter the contest.

And now to the blurry part.
I think a messageboard is far too diffuse to use in an event like this. What we would need is a special homepage (at e.g. geocities) where all the entrys are listed and the rules are explained.

Why not?
Pjotr G
Good one, I'll make such a page, but first let's agree on rules n stuff (ey who am I to impose them?)
Mehari
A specific chord progression is a good idea, that way we will all own our own music

All may post here to submit rules I think. The hard part will be to look them all over.

Count me in for the next contest :D

I like the idea of the chord scheme. You're free to do with is whatever you like, while at the same time we're all creating tracks based on the same thing.

Oh, and that website is not such a bad idea either ;)

Greetz!

A little idea just crossed my mind...

When this website is up, it would be quite easy to put the chord schemes on it and let the contestants and judges (or maybe just the judges) vote on them.

Like I said, just a thought...
