| I listened to this in my sleep, i woke up.. and though wtf? is my soundcard screwed up.. but it turned out that the lead sound was supposed to be that way..:eek: |

:rolleyes: I do belive that most ppl are stating thier opinion of the track which is fair comment, it matters not how long you have been into trance as to wether you like it or not.
I merely prefer Ferry's remix of Adagio.
I remember so vividly the 1st time i heard it and the emotions i felt when hearing it, tiesto's version did not do the same thing for me.
But Ferry's version has stood the test of time, his version can still evoke the emotions i felt from when i first heard it.
There is of course another 2004 remake of Adagio for Strings which IMO is also better than tiesto's remake and that is the Mat Silver & Tony Burt remake of Adagio For Strings.

I will agree to all your logic Neo.
However, there are a variety of different arguments being used in this thread. Is it reasonable to assume that in my one post I am addressing everyone? Such an assumption does my post and yours a disservice. The response you quoted of mine was directed at the people whose argumentation lacked depth and interest such as:

None of us actually said that. Maybe it's the fact that everybody progresses in taste & sounds and before 2002 the trance was on the whole much better than the stuff put out now on shows like ASOT.
That doesn't mean we're all evil or going to take over the world, it just means we have opinions, and since we've all been here longer, we've seen it all, people arguing points, people talking cod and missing the point like you've done here, and much more.
If you don't like all our opinions, put us on ignore, it doesn't bother any of us, as you rarely bring anything into discussions that nobody else can do.
The main thing about most of the points you've objected to is that they're all good points, they give reasons (for example me saying the tunes 2 years ago that armin played were much better) so you're making a storm in a tea cup here and ruining a thread, like many 'n00bs' and post 2003 people like you do
(i'd best point out that im being sarcastic there before you go crying to somebody)
And since you're trying to be the police here, check your sig out, it's too deep ;) |

If it was 100% for the music then the show would be completely different, but i guess you can't be in the top of the dj list and earn enough when you do everything you really would like to do. |
thanks to yourself & kraze for putting a decent answer to my question... still would be nice if we saw the old armin who was able to play more than fluff, and could play a bit deeper and darker and was less predictable |
