what a dumbass rebuttel that is?

Why don't you post yours!
You prolly won't cuz nothing in it says you studied law, political science or Canadian History.
And I don't think you've worked in the stock market either and done your securities course.

Please...........unless you've actually worked for lawyers that have set precedents and changed laws....then I don't think I'd have to prove myself to you.

Neways....sorry StereoPrincess....this isn't why I posted.
This is where I get off.........no sense in beating it with a stick if it won't budge eh.

Why exactly should I be "humble" when people are talking smack to me about topics I know more about than they do? There's a difference between hubris and knowing one's own strengths and weaknesses.

Its one thing to have a discusion about a topic BUT throwing insults is not the way to prove a point...I don't make a habit of lying and "throwing smack"...I am saying that everytime the 407 ETR toll charges comes on the news that there is a mention that with all the fees & toll charges, 407 ETR is the most expensive toll road in North America...If I had a link I would provide it here for you to rpove that fact...If I am wrong then PLEASE provide the facts that I am wrong

We can have debates without the mud throwing

BTW what does "hubris" mean?
Jayx1
Have you done these things? Because you seem to have quite an opinion yourself.

Im not claiming to be a political societist but i am an informed elector and I do pride myself on being very aware in politics. Just because you dont happen to agree with my beliefs does not make me WRONG. Ive never accused anybody here as being wrong (unless its factual) and certainly not for their political views.

I dont agree with most people here but thats what democracy is all about.

Actually I have! This doesn't make me better than anyone...it just means I've done a lot.

And you seem to post here as if everyone elses political beliefs is wrong. So maybe you should take a look in the mirror.

The end.
Jayx1
Of course i post like that because thats what a good debator does. They try and prove the others wrong while proving their case as right.

Its what i firmly believe but i also firmly believe that a democracy allows others to form their own political opinions that are different. So really no one is ever 100% right nor 100% wrong.

As for you doing all these things? Well thats nice. Im glad you are also an informed elector because if you have drawn your conclusions based on informed research through experiences and/or reading then i respect your opinion.

But i respectfully diasgree.

Sure I have opinions...everyone has...whether its this or other subjects that are brought up...Its just that some people have to force their opinions with insults and I hate that ALOT...to me its like watching hockey...I wanna watch the game and NOT the fights.

I know that you bring up alot of posts with various subjects Jay and I agree with you on alot of it & so I don't bother putting my 2 cents in.

I have had great discusions with people in this forum without the name calling and just wish everyone would do the same...

besides....its CHRISTMAS :D

Could have used "hamartia" there too...

Hararitia - ha·mar·ti·a Pronunciation Key (hämär-t)
n. Tragic flaw.

Hubris - hu·bris Pronunciation Key (hybrs) also hy·bris (h-)
n. Overbearing pride or presumption; arrogance: “There is no safety in unlimited technological hubris” (McGeorge Bundy).
