I totally agree with wasted potential, I thought blueberry was a good track, but everything since than for the most part has been boring recycled sounds.
Almost every probspot track sounds the same, and if you like that sound that's cool i guess, but I need an artist to show some creativity to keep me interested... |

definition of what has become the cookie cutter definition of prog these days, which is a shame, since there are so many other artists pursuing a progressive sound that is actually forward thinking that don't get as much exposure. |

Foreplay & Blueberry were very much to my likings when they were played on the net. The sounds/style are rather fresh to me but I'm drifting away from Probspot since the many releases by Probspot as they later on didnt really suited my taste(which is changing every now and then). Despite that, he still remain as a producer whom I dont mind checking out :)
I actually liked Probspot rmx of Jump The Next Train a lot at a point of time heh... |

| personally.... i don't really agree with all of u guys. probspot isn't going around himself saying, "look what i'm making!! its TRUE progressive. LOOK. PROG. ME ME ME." its his listeners and fans who will automatically be like, "oh listen to probspots awesome progressive sound. its so ill!" you people are aruging about whether or not he makes good progressive tracks, which is bull, because i'm sure to probspot, he's not making progressive, he's not making trance. he's just making music. GET OVER IT! (and don't say he's not technically a good producer, cuz thats not true either) |

Blueberry and Foreplay were the only likeable tunes. After those, it sounded like I was listening to the same tune. I really don't see what's so creative and God-like about the man when he uses the exact same bassline, percs, and synths in every tune. It's as if all he does is pop in the original version, hit "add my sound" and call it good.
He's capable of much more, yet refuses to change, seemingly on the basis that, "Everybody loves this sound, I'll stick to it." Sad. |

3 words.
Global DJ Broadcast.
But than again, judging from your comment, i'll assume that you listen to ASOT and global DJ broadcast religiously and assume only the tunes played there are the good tunes to be released and everything else is that doesn't deserve any type of play.
And I'm not saying that he isn't a good producer, and you're right it is us who are classifying the music as prog, but that is the category it does fall into.
He is a very sound and consistant producer, but my major gripe is that lately he has failed to try and be innovative, and has just recycled old ideas from his previous tracks in his new ones. Of course, there isn't anything wrong with this at all, all I think the critics here are saying is that one should always try and further one's sound in a forward thinking direction, which probspot has failed to do lately. |
