Judge Jules also played it at Gatecrasher Summer Sound System in either '00 or '01. Don't ask me how I know that. :haha:

We are not looking for formulaic productions which show no new concepts or ideas at all. Am I saying that every artists played by Schulz is cheese or "mcprog"? No. What I am saying though, is that a large majority of what he plays is indeed repetitive and not forward thinking. Is there a terrible problem with this? Not really. There will always be artists that are trying to move the music forward and I will continue to listen to them, and avoid artists who recycle sounds. The thing is that eventually this type of progressive will have died like the old trance has. Why? Because there were no new ideas being introduced, and people got bored. |
Exactly.
And since GDJB isn't forward thinking... then is it really progressive? I don't think so. You GDJB kiddies should be happy we even call it Mcprog. |

It is applicable to Markus Schulz and Paul van Dyk (for the most part). However, this thread isn't about them. |

dude. u just listen to music to analyze every bit of it in order to enjoy it. "if it doesnt have a ing complex synth like way out west tunes then it ing sucks ass" if thats your thinking thats pathetic. not every tune has to be foreward thinking to be accepted. u sound like uve never been at aclub. do people give a there if a tune has the "progressive forward thinking" structure that contains a ing bassline with with a flute over the breakdown." no. its not like that. they go there to dance their ass off and have a good time. sometimes a tune that sounds boring and repetitive to u will sound fresh to other people and its simplicity will make it greater. u describe that every progressive tune has to be ing intelligent. well. ive heard digweed play that ing plodding dark horse and it was the most disgusting set ive ever heard in my life. 10 min tunes that sounded like u could take a 5 times during the set and u wouldnt miss nothing.
go enjoy ur progressive forwward music on the internet in a ing chat room geek and keep ananlyzing.
and u aint gonna ing change my mind for sure. probspot was da he is da . and will be da .
oh wait i forgot to mention something
but eventually he will turn into :D :stongue:
peace and grease as!!!!! |

Not only are you one of the more ignorant individuals i've seen on here, you also are quite obviously sucking probspots cock. So i'll leave you be. But you obviously are kinda new to this music, I give you less than a year and you'll retract everything you just said. |

I've got all records and remixes from this guy and I couldn't stop to support him. When you say he's a genuis, I share this opinion..
I've never heard such basslines with so pure melodies together
He always uses the same buildup for all records and remixes but each record translates a different feeling..
Recluse - Isle Dauphine (Probspot Remix) WHAT A REMIX!!! |

I will come back and check the boards Sunday and this thread will have grown to 400 replies and most of them will probably be dated tonight. |
