Thanks, but I dont know, really. Ive never thought there was one, but that it was almost certainly more of a process, a genre that developed over several years. |

i'm not sure, but one of the first tracks i listen to was Energy 52 - Cafe del mar and Carlos - The Silmarilia, and that was back in '97
techno and eurodance came in the early 90's and maybe before that, but it wasn't trance |

trance existed way back in early 90s. Did you forget the labels such as Superstition and Eye Q Records?
The first trance tune is difficult to claim but i would say that the original Age of Love - Age of Love from 1990 may be the first time music moved into what later became known as trance |

| Personally I've always regarded Giorgio Moroder - The Chase as one of, if not the first trance blueprint. I guess The KLF - What Time Is Love should be mentioned too. |

| The KLF- What Time Is Love? (1988 Pure Trance Original). There were trancy records before, but this is the best place I've found to put an official "first" mark on. Plus it named the whole genre. |
