Infected Mushroom: Excellent performance! It was probably not quite as energetic as the last time they performed in Kool Haus, but they seemed to know the sound system better this time, as it was all very crisp and clean sounding. They dropped several tracks from Converting Vegetarians, including some "harder" remixes of the chillout tunes on CD 2. Sorry, I don't have specific IDs, but overall I found it a very enjoyable set showing plenty of creativity.

| Nice hanging out w the TAs again. You guys are always amazing to hang out with. As for the tunes, Guv was too rammed and Scumfrog was ok but didn't stay around to watch him finish up as Dumonde was on. Their Viva set was better but when they dropped "kuffdam and Plant - Summer Dream" I went nuts. TUNE! |

Had an exceptional time - happy and positive vibes goin' on and everyone actually looked happy - and by saying that i don't mean that we all look unhappy on the TA scene - BUT rather I think that we all encourage positive "party ~safe" attitude (altitude ) that makes everyone else in the room happy . . ..
Anyways - enuff with happiness yada yada... let's get down to business . . ..
Sizzled Shizzle z, I just smoke a J while writing all this . . . and I forget and I am high - and just spent the last 8 hours at a computer (working) I got to jet to bed!

was a pretty sweet party.... stayed in KH all nite long (except for a brief adventure to the Guv, but walking thru the Orange room was horrible)
music wise:
dekoze was good as usual
addy surprised me quite a bit.. in a very good way
didnt like dave ralph too much
IM rocked my socks... the vocals in the end - didnt expect at all
and they played Cities of the Future which was a good bonus
Dumonde were good early on, with some nice oldies remixes... the end was kind of mixed tho - yes they played for an extra 40 minutes which was cool but they almost stopped mixing...
loved the decor and the vibe... and on the touchy subject of the flags and the yelling... didnt mind it too much during the IM set, because it was adding to the crowd appreciation (in all fairness i didnt hear them shouting during dave ralph's set so i cant comment on that). i was much more pissed off when this happened during last Ultra spin with Astral Projection (who didnt deserve to be cheered on at all) |

Ok... the flag-waving subject... As I'm curious...
Ignoring the obviously rude "Infected" chants during Dave Ralph's set.
What did these guys do that was so offensive? They came out, had a good time and didn't hurt anyone. So what if they blocked your view of the 'glorious' DJs? They're ing DJs, they aren't doing anything that's too too special and worth watching. Ok, so you were annoyed, why? You all are probably just jealous that you can't let go and have a jumpin good time the way they can! It's supposed to be a PARTY! I'm starting to figure out why people say Toronto crowds suck. There's no ENERGY in them! |
