Most stupid comment i've ever read in the history of TA. Science says it is hormones and genes, you can't prove that wrong.
I have a friend who's a lesbian who would never use a dildo, only clitoral stimulation.

Now, I'm not attacking anyone here. Not even those ignorant to post b.s. like that on this board. I'm attacking the idea, questioning its logic. For those of you who do hate homosexuals, I want you to ask yourself why you do. You'll come up blank, I hope. THere are no real reasons, just ignorance and fear. Do you guys think that all homosexuals are going to hit on you? Are you that full of yourself? Why would a gay spend time hitting on poor, insignigcant you? They don't, at least the majority of them.
Now, I'm not gay.. I don't go to parades to support them, rallies, etc.. but I do support their choice. this 'God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve' bull. that attitude, if God wants it that way, then Him too. Human equivalence is what is going to keep us alive for these next hundred years. These tiny, moronic, pointless ideas between our fellow humans are what will be the end of us.
I ask you, are you racist? You'll say no, most likely. But you are, if you think that a homosexual/lesbian is any less of a person than you, and therefore earns your scorn or hatred. You are the lesser person. You deserve their hatred, and mine.

though i agree with you on it being wrong to "hate" homosexuals, i dont find it wrong to disagree with their lifestyle and with that view of things fight in the political system against it. just as you, i hope, dont hate the conservatives, but u disagree with them. and so at that, a real productive debate should develop.
but the bad thing about debating on these forums is that most everyone is a liberal. not that thats bad or anything, but 1 conservative argueing against 5 or 10 liberals is a bit hard.
i, personally am a moderate. |

Please do not judge all Canadians based on one poster.
BTW, I think science is still on the fence about this one. Granted there is a genetic abnormality in approximately 50% of male homosexuals, however, that only proves that genetics plays a role in determining the sexuality of SOME people. The reasons why homosexuals that do not possess that abnormality are homosexuals is here to now unproven. There very well could be further genetic abnormalities that have yet to be detected, however, there may not be.
To offer further anecdotal evidence, I can say that I have at one time or another had many friends/aquaintances/relatives who are homosexuals.... some have told me they have always been homosexual, others have told me they chose homosexuality. In my experience the majority of gay males I know claim to have been homosexual as long as they can recall being sexually aware, approximately 50% of the women I know who are lesbians claim to have chosen it. Now, the sample I have exposure to is not large enough to generalize to a population so I offer this only as my experience and do not make any extrapolations from it. |
