:stongue:WE MEET AGAIN JUKX:stongue:

Sorry like, but UPLIFTING TRACE IS ON ITS WAY BACK AND IT HERE TO STAY!, well hopefully.

I just had a listen to some of my old techno stuff and found it boring and repetitive, even compared to the ty stuff we've had to deal with for most of this year.
New trance tunes already out or expected, that for me are re-writing the standars once again (all trance genres):
4 Strings - Into The Night
Altitude - Excession
Atlantis - The Good Land (I Know Its A Bit Old)
Delerium - Underwater (Above & Beyond's 21st Century Mix)
DJ Tiësto - Urban Train (New Mixes)
The new GOURYELLA (hopefully soon)
JFK - Good God
The new Kamaya Painters (hopefully soon)
Marco V - Indicator
MDM - Mash It Up
Monoboy - The Music In You
Okinoro - Island
Quake - The Day Will Come
The new Rank 1 (hopefully soon)
Silverblue - Step Back
System F - Exhale (New Mixes)
Three Drives - Sunset On Ibiza (Above and Beyond Mix)

Do you agree, or is this just going the same way as the last thread?

Well, name me some.. I am very curious about what, in your eyes, is considered techno.

About your list with tracks which will rewrite the standards.. I only know a few of them so maybe there are some good tracks among them, who knows.
For the tracks I do know:
I am sorry, but how can you say that tracks like 4-strings - into the night, Silverblue, Urban Train (wippenberg & Cosmic Gate remix) are going to going to rewrite the standards? Those tracks are crappy as hell and can never be compared with the uplifting stuff from about two or three years ago!
Marco V - Indicator can't be considered Uplifting Trance.. so that one wont count.
patticus
i agree with jukx. you DID name some ty ass tracks bro.
altitude - excession unfortunately is a couple yrs old too. its just a 2001 mix

i think it died this year but it'll be back.. like i said w/ new producers, these should be better examples
mirco de govia (epic monolith)
nu-nrg (dreamland)
second sun (empire)

PLEASE dont flame me its not my fault they're all pvd tracks.
lemme see you want other good *uplifting* stuff from this year? how about
tomcraft - prosac (tony h' oh yeah mix)

stop riding rank 1's jock, they never WERE all that.. but we WILL see some excellent new trance soon (no im not talking 'digweed and sander k' thats PROG HOUSE) -regardless of whether its uplifting or not.

if you doubt me check out the first few tracks of scott bond's recent trance energy set, the recent signum style, the airwave knock-offs (that's YOU rising star and yourself, l-vee) and of course the bunch of pvd tracks which are bound to be released soon (lexicon 4 - reach me!)

there's good trance this year, too bad everyone overlooks most of it and goes for the cheese.

ps- tiesto IS officially A TOOL. everyone's saying he's been copying oakie lately, and i CANNOT believe he put the auranaut - people want to be needed on magik 7... sasha and oakie were caning that in 1998/99!!!
sasha for his time period as a trance dj is probably unrivalled. look at his tracklistings for essential mixes
patticus
oh yah i forgot just in case, that new ferry corsten or gouryella track we keep hearing occasionally, his opener from baia beach (not w/ dj lemon) and recently in the gods kitchen amnesia set

so yah the bigs will still be on the ball, just keep your eyes open for OTHER artists
boy_luke_y2k
patticus, i just named my faves on my playlist at the mo. i really like tham and so do most people. the opener from baia beach is eon - pocket damage not the new gouryella, made by ferry only. jukx i cant b bothered to argue with u again, we end up getting no where, and i said all trance genres.

Wow.....Jukx is back again..........

Please define cheese. Cheese for me (as well as for alot of other TAs) is a simple tune. Just melody and base. Vocals like "feel the beat, dance to trance, feel my love, bla bla".
Gouryella doesnt NOT fit into cheese according to me.
About the productions.....
I had no internet for 2 weeks. When i finally got it. I had missed several nice uplifting trance tunes that i cant stop listening to.

Lange - Drifting
Darren Tate feat. Marcella woods - Lifted
Svenson & Gielen - Twisted (Jacob & Mendez Spanish Remix)

All great trax. How can you say that uplifting trance is dying?
As long as people listen to it (and we will) there will be music there to listen to. And you cant say its bad music. Cause thats just a matter of opinion. Thats like having a big argue about the looks of a woman. is she looking good or not? You cant really come to an answer right? And just because Tiesto left (if he did) upliting trance doesnt mean we have a loss of uplifting producers....new producers will come to take the old ones place.

Peace
patticus
yah some of them are ok, but i mean how can anyone get excited over new mixes of urban train, ykno?
anyways i didnt know it was already titled eon - pocket damage, that's pretty cool thanx :D

im guessing it hasnt been released yet right?
Kytracid
LOL hmmmmm I wish uplifting trance would come back to the strenght that was there in 1998-99 but the truth is that it will not happen anytime soon. The uplifting epic trance sets that were being hammered by most DJ's a few years ago are gone. There will always be DJ's who spin epic uplifting stuff but most Dj's are looking towards progressive house and progressive trance, so just because Rank 1 or Gouryella release a few goods songs doesn't mean that uplifting will come back...after all u need more then 2 good songs for a genre to become popular.

Frankly, the uplifting trance period has passed and ppl should start accepting that and look towards what is currently hot instead of reminising about the days when "1998" or "For an Angel" were staple diets for Dj's.

One thing i'm glad about is that finally the music being spun is more then just anthem where everyone raises their hands to the air...the tunes today make me groove and dance and not just jump around on the spot like the anthems did.

My $0.02 on the topic....All hail the progressive era !!! ;)

Just back to Tiesto a minute (on IMM):

"There are a couple of Balearic tracks, some techno and of course trance...." "....It's great to show the world I'm not just another Ferry Corsten."
biznology
One thing im going to say is that nobody here talks about liking Dj Micro. He has ALWAYS been making, spinning quality VERY uplifting trance. I guess his being American makes him 'suck' or just not well known. Hes pretty damn good tho...hehe last time i saw him he opened with Underworld - Born Slippy(cj stone) and it only went up from there! late/

Well i'm sorry, but you don't come on TRANCEADDICT.com and call Rank 1 and Gouryella cheese. I think jukx can f**k off and go find himself a technoaddict.com where he belongs.

Sorry for the harsh words, but im sure all TA's agree with me.
Eugene
All of you are wrong, uplifting trance is NOT dead, there are some great melodic tracks released every week, you just don't know about them

you live in your own worlds with Rank1 and gouryella and all that and don't know about the new epic/uplifting. Stuff like NuNRG-Dreamland, D Mention - Daydream, Akyra - Here comes the rain again. There are a dozen great uplifting tracks released only in the last several months!
