Nice to meet the TAs once again, as usual. Thanks to the free energy drinks that no one in the venue wanted to try out, I was able to keep awake for a while longer. But it didn't do a good enough job of protecting myself from getting served by the ballerina girl on the dancefloor, though. Ugh.

wow Pete, you are the king of IDs. Good job!

Ballerina Girl == Matthias sister. She reminds me of the Ladytron song "Seventeen" "They only want you when you're 17, when you're 21, you're no fun."

Bummer that Dave & Packer didn't get to play, but NuNRG did NOT stop, it was all too good.

I feel bad that not more Austin people saw NUNRG...one of my theories that people were worn out from Oakenfold, though I didn't see a bunch of people I usually see at shows. & RITM had much more people, for a show that was not 20% as good.

LMFAO He wasnt talking about you. He was talking about Packer everyone thinks that mofo looks like Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park

All of the other reviews pretty much said it for me, but here's my summary:

NU NRGs show was definitely the best Live Performance I have seen. Very impressive. I didnt think I was going to do too much dancing since WMC kicked my ass, but I gotta give em credit. DEFINITELY a pleasure getting to open for em.
I want to thank everyone for the kind words regarding my set. This weekend has been a bit rocky and it really does mean alot. :) I feel back for Packer and Octane not getting to play. If I known JoJo wanted an all trance night, I probably would have let them two have my slot. here's a tracklist for those who want it:

Hydroid - Incurved
Greed - Tea In The Sahara (Kacey Taylor's washed out dub)
Chiapet - westworld (skylark remix)
Sander Klienenberg - The Fruit (Tom Navy dub)
Gabriel & Dresden - Arcadia
Ave Mea - In The End
Ridgewalkers - Find (Andy moor mix)
Josh Gabriel - Alive
Starkid - Crayons (Leama and moor mix)
Whiteroom - Someday (instrumental mix)
Luke Fair - Blocrock

It was going to be a mostly progressive set, but the promoter kept bugging me to play more trance saying that people were leaving (while I saw people dancing:wtf: ) But..I'm grateful for getting to open for em. However..it will be the last time I play outside of Houston, or more than 20 minutes away for that matter, without getting paid up front. If this sounds unreasonable to anyone...I am glad you are doing financially well :) However..I am not.

Also...that was probably Eternal's last show. :(

Due to a lower than expected turnout, the promoters lost a few grand.

In order to be a promoter you have to PROMOTE something. The promoter did such a horrid job in the first place. Also I said this to several people last night Austin was not ready for NU NRG.

Eternal still has not developed a following and when they get close they fk it all up by having a hip hop night or something. Eternal should have done what all clubs do when they open get the big time headliners to come out first and develop a name for yourself then you can bring in lesser known acts such as NU NRG cause by then you will have the reputation of throwing some kicks ass parties so people will attend regardless of who is playing.

PS Apparently Sky is also not going to have any more electronic shows as well. :( RIP Austin scene. It was good while it lasted.

Move to Dallas, if anywhere. Their scene is probably the most consistent of Texas. And their crowd can't be beat. :D
