ah ok...I wasnt sure if it was doing that during my set or not. I make sure to never send an overdrivven much less a clipped signal from the mixer to the amps the drive the house sound.

very impressive, we have the same education looks like. I'm working toward my AAS (applied audio sciences) degree. Taking a few semesters off due to financial reasons but reading all the required books for the courses I have yet to take.

I just don't know how to please you, man...go back to Houston.

People I owe drinks to: digitalbreach (maybe in Houston, watching lights?)
& JBooty.

Overall, I'm sad about the swan song of Eternal. The club owners did seem to have good intentions, & put much money & effort into a sound system & lights. It did seem to be picking up more of a regular crowd. The break-dancers I've seen the past few weeks, are in the army up at Ford Hood (a 90 minute drive).

My main guess is location doomed them. 6th St is a race to the bottom--which place can offer the cheapest drinks to the most college-aged people. & parking is a real pain.

I've never promoted a show myself, so I have no idea of how difficult it is. A huge headliner like Oakenfold drew a hell of a lot of people, where a more niche name like NuNRG didn't draw enough for them to break even.

Was thinking the same thing. I could be wrong but...most of the people on 6th street are mostly there to get ass, or socialize, or get drunk rather than see a quality show. Nothin wrong with that but it wont do much for business for a club with a cover charge vs many bars without.

anyone has more pics?

thanks.

Basically you're right. Everyone wants cheap drinks. No one wants to pay to get drunk except for the drinks. I'm just confused about this. Because form what I've seen AK1200 will be there on the 20th I think it is...but I thought Eternal was closing?

And as for the break dancers from Ft. Hood, they usually come everyweekend, but from what I'm being told a lot of them are out in the field for a few weeks.

hey guys, i just signed up for a TA account. It was a great show, and i didn't realize how many of you were from here.

As for the speaker bottoming out, yes it was. It was that JBL dual sub. I and matthis, it started during your set. Only really during transitions, as would be expected.

Also for the question about the Dallas scene. Yes we have a lot more clubs here and whatnot but the actual scene is pretty crappy. I was really happy the first time i went to Eternal. The atmosphere there is incredible when i go. Everyone is passionate about the music and there to simply have a good time with music they love. Here in dallas, every club i have been to has been full of people just looking to get drunk and take some girl (or guy) home. So, yes, we have more clubs, but i'd preter eternal personally.

Big ups to everyone who spun, matthis, very good set. Dave Molina, sorry i couldn't stay. I don't know if you got to spin afterwards.

for anyone wondering who i am, i was the guy in the brown shirt who got there an hour early and just stood out front ;)

Dude, it was good to finally meet you!!! You were always there to support the DCS Presents webcast and I didn;t have a chance to tell you how much it was apprciated : )

Sadly, Packer and I didn;t play...but Nu-NRG definitely out the nail in the coffin for the night. It was an experience I'll never forget. Good to meet you bro and damn good eyes to see my DCS cap.

I dont think the bar itself is closing, they money they make or lose is based soley on drink sales, they dont make or lose anything on the cover, and they dont hire the acts. The event promoter is the one who lost a few grand. He montioned returning all the rented gear that went in the club so...I'm guessing there wont be anymore events there.
