G&D are great in their own right.

G&D are in my opinion a bit too cheesy, I'm not too found of their pop sound. It takes more than just good tunes to become legends like Sasha & Digweed.
And what I've heard of G&D's sets they are quite poor and lacks of atmosphere, good beatmatching and solid track selection. Exactly what Sasha & Digweed used to have back in the days. I don't like the new Sasha or Digweed style they've been playing for the last couple of years. It's too slow and too laidback. |

As much as I agree that the quality of S&D in terms of prduction/mixing is very high, their sound just doesnt do anything for me, not particularily into prog.
I love G&D's work tho, Beautiful Things is an amazing track :)
Their mixing may not be the best, but I do like the track selection when they do :D |

I love G & D, they do great stuff.
However, Sasha & Digweed are something different. Yes you could draw some parallels, although G & D are to a lesser degree on every one. The thing about G & D as well is that they perform a lot as G & D, and not much separately. Sasha & Digweed are rarely together and often apart, which means when they do come together it is something to really look forward to cos its something special. Spearately they are also bigger names, which adds to the 'specialness' of the occasion. G & D could never hope to match the hype of a Sasha & Digweed set.
And thats why (live at least) Sasha & Digweed is bigger and better than G & D. |

@whoever said that Sasha's sets make them wanna sleep, id really have a hard time trying to relax to a choon like Kraftwerk - Aerodynamik (Alex Gopher & Etienne De Crecy Dynamik Mix):eyes: or Yoshimoto - Du What U Du (Trentemoller Mix):eyes: or anything hes been playing lately :rolleyes:
and btw, he doesnt play tracks like Lo Step - Burma in his livesets....he only plays that soft stuff in his comps, his livesets r much harder :disbelief |
