A good point to add is that unfortunately both S&D's careers are in their twilights while G&D's are just begining...
think about that G&D haters.

Plus the density of solid releases from G&D now is far greater than S&D's ever was.

But I will concede that G&D's tracks don't have the magic/mystery/xfactor whatever that S&D's did. Xpander will prob go down in history as one of the most memorable and enchanting songs of all time. While Arcadia by G&D is just awesome prog, they're not even in the same boat... so.. um... why compare the two again??? :wtf:

Totally agree with you. And I'd add the new track in my sig to the list as well.

Y'all seem to think that by supporting G&D in this thread we're BASHING or BELITTLING (is that even a word? ):toothless S&D when in fact we're not. So just chill out and hear both sides of the discussion. That's what a bulletin board is for right?

I guess the difference is that Sasha and Digweed were the complete package. They were brilliant DJs and brilliant producers. They tapped into a dark, spiritual vibe that appealed to music lovers across the board, from house heads to trance addicts. They were gods among ordinary men and from early on, we all knew that they had "it".

On the other hand, Gabriel and Dresden are good producers, albeit a bit pop-ish. But let's face it, they are only hired as DJs because of their production work. Their DJ sets hardly set the world on fire. As far as DJing, they don't come close to having "it". I don't think that's something that you can change, you either have "it" or you don't.

I love how ppl never answer the question when they post there just like omg sfu now way....

explain ppl it would help us understand where your coming from whether you side with G&D or S&D give some reasons and dont be so immature lol

i don't see as much of a relation because as it was said above, G&D are more of a production duo while sasha & digweed are not.. sure sasha & digweed separately have a ton of great productions but i think that S&D are more well known for their delta heavy tour, northern exposure series, etc... they're more mix oriented i guess. gabriel & dresden the new sasha & digweed?? i wouldn't say so.

its a totally different direction, besides. g&d's music is deep in a completely different way, a bit more pop, for lack of a better term, i htink.

Well...even Dave Dresden describes their style as Pop music for the e-Generation, so...

Anyways...the question posted in this thread is utterly stupid. So my answer is NO, NUNCA, NEVER, JAMAS, NINE, NON...

and btw, he doesnt play tracks like Lo Step - Burma in his livesets....he only plays that soft stuff in his comps, his livesets r much harder :disbelief

I love this tune also, but check his set at Aria, Montreal from last year. He played Burma in the first hour.

You can't compare those two, I think. Gabriel & Dresden are, for me, one of the best producers and remixers at this moment but in spinning they simply suck.

Sasha & Digweed are in the game very long, have contributed a quite lot to the history of EDM, and both are brilliant dj's.

I think G&D have to establish their reputation a little bit more, to be able to even stand in the shadow of S&D.
